Rafa Alleges Federer is Ducking Him On Clay

Rafa_Relieved By Scoop Malinowski Asked about his rival Roger Federer’s decision not to contest a single clay-court event for the second straight season, Rafael Nadal, the "King of Clay" smiled with pride. “He says he will love to play against me again in best-of-five sets on clay. He said that a couple of days ago – and I thought he would play Roland Garros. Then a few days later he says he will not play in one event, so there’s a little bit of controversy with that.” Those are fighting words sprinkled with some sugarcoating. Sarasota Open Qualies

By Scoop Malinowski After three sets of doubles on Longboat Key at 8:45 I decided to scooter over to check out the new site for the Sarasota Open which is now being staged at Laurel Oaks, a good 45 minute ride south west from Longboat. Now, Jack Sock has crashed. He's been a non-factor in singles all year, even losing to young Americans Taylor Fritz in Houston and Reilly Opelka in Delray Beach. Sock has lost his swagger, his confidence, his mojo and aura of semi-invincibility. Continue to read full article...

15-year-old Stefan Kozlov meets the press. By Scoop Malinowski Stefan Kozlov has made a smashing return in Houston qualies, defeating Bellucci 67 63 76 and Santillan 60 62 to reach the main draw where he will play world no. 63 Guido Pella for a chance to play 2 seed Sam Querrey in the second round.
