Stefan Kozlov played a four hour Marathon third rounder for Argentine Augustin Velotti (ATP 395) at the Plantation ITF Futures (har-tru) yesterday winning it 76 36 76 – escaping a 0-4 third set deficit to prevail. 23 year old Velotti stands just five-foot five inches tall. Today Kozlov played the quarterfinal against 34 year old Victor Hanescu and was up a set and served twice for the win but unforced errors and a double fault on MP proved costly. The persevering veteran Romanian who was once ranked #26 in the world and won a clay title in Gstaad in 2008 (where he beat Wawrinka and Andreev) won the final set today 64 vs the exhausted eighteen year old Kozlov (46 76 64).
