Would the tennis deep state strike down Djokovic?

By Scoop Malinowski

Tennis just experienced the high point of the monumental Roland Garros triumph by Novak Djokovic for Grand Slam title number 23 but the celebratory vibes have been tainted by some ominous black clouds this week.

First there was the despicable anti Djokovic article in The Guardian newspaper of London by Simon Briggs which included: “Tennis has a Novak Djokovic problem and the solution needs to present itself …fast…. Barring illness, accident, or a remarkable post operation renaissance for Rafael Nadal, the 23 time major champion is untouchable…”

Accident???

Have you ever read such biased hate against a great champion as this by such a major media outlet?

Also, Wimbledon has canceled the image of Djokovic out of a promotional poster and video.

And yesterday former Grand Slam doubles champion and Hopman Cup tournament director Paul McNamee tweeted: “I fear there’s a new agenda leading up to Wimbledon… one aimed to stop Novak at all costs, as you can’t find a single player who thinks they can beat him there if he plays well…”

These are alarming red flags that suggest powerful dark forces are in concert to stop Djokovic’s domination of professional tennis as soon as possible, by any means necessary.

Regrettably, this exact scenario has already played out once before in elite professional tennis when the dominant world no. 1 Monica Seles was stabbed by a maniac (or hired patsy) on the tennis court during a changeover of a match in Hamburg, Germany in 1993. It is suspected that a tennis deep state wanted Seles removed at all costs, to reinstall the more profitable Steffi Graf to the top ranking. Former Grand Slam champion Don Budge, as quoted in Tennis Week magazine, suspected the stabbing was inside job “skullduggery” and not a random act of a lunatic fanatic.

So tennis has reached an evolution point where a champion that the establishment clearly resents, has taken over the sport, with no signs of declining any time soon. Also Novak Djokovic has threatened the power structure of the ATP with his PTPA union which is growing stronger by the month. And of course, Djokovic has angered the political establishment and big pharma by declining to take the virus vaccine drug shot and has played the best tennis of his career with the support of his own health and strong immune system, not drugs.

Hopefully, by the grace of God, there are no conspiracies afoot to unseat Djokovic from his throne and there is no need to beef up his personal security and also that for his family and team and Wimbledon 2023 will be competed on the level just like Roland Garros was.

But because of the hints and signs that are presenting themselves, it would certainly not be a mistake by Team Djokovic to take every precaution possible to avert the chances of another Monica Seles type tragedy from repeating.

    Scoop dropping them truth-bombs!

That Guardian article is despicable. Not even ambiguously biased… and for what reason? Why would anyone NOT be indifferent (aside from rooting interests) to who ends up being the GOAT? I’m truly flabbergasted.

Cory, maybe it’s the federer nadal alliance which is behind the vendetta against Djokovic. I can’t think of any other suspects.

Simon Briggs writes for The Telegraph not The Guardian. Big difference.

I haven’t heard anything about Wimbledon ‘cancelling’ Djokovic
out of any promotions. Wimbledon BTW doesn’t need any publicity.

Your arguments are not persuasive. Saying a player is dominant in the sport isn’t the same as saying the ‘deep state’ or any other conspiracy, real or invented, is bent on obliterating them. Which is what you are claiming.

This is Tumaini Carayol’s piece in the Guardian (not the Telegraph and not Simon Briggs)).

Can’t find anything suggestive of the deep state here.

Briggs of telegraph and ben bramble of guardian both write anti Djokovic articles this week. Wimbledon made a promo video and poster which omitted Djokovic, even Mark Petchey tweeted, “Where’s Djokovic?”

Catherine, I’m not sure if there will be some kind of hit on Djokovic in the future but there are several ominous signs that suggest a strong motive and something could be cooking. Nobody foresaw the stabbing of Seles happening in 1993 the height of her powers and nobody would foresee a strike on Djokovic either but given the history of tennis and what happened to Seles, I believe Djokovic needs to be very careful and on red alert. There are a lot of powerful figures in tennis and big pharma who have an axe to grind with Djokovic.

Wim Fissette returns as coach of Qinwen Zheng who parted ways with longtime coach Pere Riba.

Who’s Ben Bramble ? Under my radar.

I did wonder what Wim was doing. Odd choice in some ways.

Re Djoko there is a lot more security now and scrutiny of top players than in Seles’ day so I feel sure he will be alright. I feel if Boris Johnson turns up in the Royal Box he will be more at risk from stray flying tennis balls.

The promo etc may have been made before Djokovic won RG. He has lots of fans here.

Catherine, Qinwen Zheng is the key Chinese player now, they expect her to be a top player and help sell the game in China, his track record of success with most wta players is undisputed, so her success will be his success. That Sascha Bajin guy sure dropped off the radar. Djokovic has won the last four Wimbledons, surely he deserved a mention in the Wimby promo. Very revealing that they erased him from it.

Andreescu lost this week in r16 to a name I never saw before – Hruncakova or something like that.

  • catherine · June 17, 2023 at 2:31 pm

I wonder if Wim was offered inducements to coach Zheng – maybe related to restoration of contacts between WTA & China ?

Bajin has something in his past. I just know it. He never rated as a coach.

(Didn’t see W’don promo – why on earth would they need one?)

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 17, 2023 at 4:52 pm

The wta has heavily promoted Qinwen, they have big plans and hopes for her. She can be the next Li Na type star. That is the plan and Fissette can make it happen. It’s possible Bajin is blackballed. “The truth is never told it has to be learned.”
