Coco Gauff is officially the world’s highest-paid female athlete after earning $23 million in 2023, according to Sportico. An estimated $16m of her $22.7m earnings came from endorsement deals alone.
The 19 year old 2022 US Open champion has won six overall WTA singles titles and eight more in doubles. She beat WTA world no. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in three sets to win the US Open in September. She also had held the no. 1 ranking in doubles with Jessica Pegula.
Some of Gauff’s sponsorship deals are with Head racquets, New Balance attire and shoes, Barilla pasta.
Some will wonder why Gauff has hit the corporate jackpot instead of Iga Swiatek, Jelena Ostapenko, Marketa Vondrousova, Sofia Kenin, Barbora Krejcikova, Sabakenka and Elena Rybakina, who have also won recent Grand Slam titles.
