Biofile with Ellis Ferreira

Status: Winner of the 2000 Australian Open Men's doubles title with Rick Leach and the 2001 Australian Open Mixed doubles title with Corina Morariu. Winner of 18 ATP doubles titles. Competed on ATP Tour from 1994-2003. Currently co-owns the Eagleton/Ferreira Tennis Academy in Longboat Key, FL. First Tennis Memory: "Going into the tennis club with my parents on the weekend." Tennis Inspirations: "John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Wimbledon classics of '78, '79." Last Book Read: "Talent Code." Greatest Sports Moment: "Playing Centre Court Wimbledon. (Over winning the Australian Open?) Yes. Just because, again, like I said, my inspiration came from those Wimbledon finals. And so I was saying it would be a dream to actually play there. So being able to play there was pretty cool considering I had dreamt of it at eight years old and it actually happened. (Who did you play?)
