Maria Bueno, also known as the 'Sao Paulo Swallow', for her slim tall build and swooping forays to the net which were often capped by piercing volleys, won her third Wimbledon singles title fifty years ago. The Brazilian champion, who won eighteen major titles, was a guest at Wimbledon's Royal Box yesterday.
