Driving eight hours in a car from NJ to The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia with my teammates was educational in that I learned some interesting facts about Chinese players not generally known by the American media.
First, remember the player Hu Na? She defected to America from China at age 21, in her second day in California during a Fed Cup event. She fled her hotel room and sought refuge with friends, based on fear of retribution for her refusal to join the Chinese Communist Party.
After receiving political asylum Na played professional tennis for the United States. She trained for a time in Bradenton, Florida at Bollettieri Academy. Her total won/loss record in the WTA was 75-97 in singles and 45-67 in doubles. Na won a WTA doubles title in Schenectady, NY with Michelle Jaggard-Lai in 1989. She retired from professional play in 1991 because of accumulated injuries at age 28. Her highest singles ranking was 48. After her tennis career, Na relocated in Taiwan and worked as an ESPN tennis commentator. She established the Hu Na Bitan Tennis Club in Taipei, which later produced the Taiwanese star and future WTA world no. 1 in doubles Su-Wei Hsieh.
An interesting event altered Na’s life in 2011. She had a dream which she interpreted as a divine message for her to start painting. She became a professional painter/artist of considerable talent. Her work resembles the quality of Vincent Van Gogh. Over the span of six years Na created over four hundred paintings. In November 2012, she showcased her artwork in her first oil painting exhibition. Five years later Na exhibited the “Hu Na Lotus Sutra Oil Painting Collection World Tour.” (video below)
When 17 year old Chinese American boy wonder Michael Chang won Roland Garros in 1989 with his sensational five set win vs Stefan Edberg he had no agent. The Chang family elected to bypass hiring an agent to handle business opportunities and decided to assign mother Betty Chang to try her hand at attracting lucrative business deals with American companies to endorse her son, the youngest winner of a Grand Slam title in history, to expland into the opening Chinese marketplace. Betty Chang proved to be only ordinary at the endeavor, only managing to sign one deal for her son in China – with shampoo company Head & Shoulders. A far cry less than the multi-million dollar Japanese contracts Kei Nishikori and his IMG agent have been able to secure. (Chang did sign with Nissin noodles in 1989, and later Panasonic and Longines in the 90s, Nuprin in 1991, Discover Card in 1996 but those were American market deals.)
Chang never was able to win another Grand Slam though he did reach three other finals – US Open, Australian Open and another Roland Garros and no. 2 in the ATP rankings – but overall he did quite well for himself, earning over $19 million in prize money not counting endorsement deals, exhibition earnings and contract bonuses.
Yan Zi and Zheng Jie were the first Chinese players to win a Wimbledon title, winning doubles in 2006 vs. Virgina Ruano Pascual and Paola Suarez 63 36 62. Zi later married a wealthy businessman and takes care of their two children.

Interesting about Hu Na. I vaguely remember her. Hope she’s happy as an artist now. Is she still painting today?
Oh, I just wanted to mention this too. Concerning the election, it’s still far from over. Do you remember when most of the media announced Gore as the winner back in 2000? And then we didn’t find out that Bush won until about 5 weeks later? So, the media announcing Biden as the winner means almost nothingāthey don’t certify the election.
Trump is going to fight these “results” tooth and nail, and I think we may be in for some big surprises in the next few weeks. So, let’s just sit back and see what unfolds.

Donald Trump Has Still Won the 2020 Election

The battle for the 2020 election is being fought in the courts, which have the power to order all new state elections in any states, which have massive signs of vote fraud like Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
A PBS article reports āSupreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has ordered county elections officials in Pennsylvania to keep separate mail-in ballots that arrived after Election Day. The stateās top elections official already had ordered those ballots be kept apart.ā
āThe order came Friday night in response to a plea from the state Republican Partyā¦ā
āAlito, acting on his own, said he was motivated in part by the Republicansā assertion that they canāt be sure elections officials are complying with guidance issued by Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar, a Democrat.ā
āThe justice handles emergency appeals from Pennsylvania. He ordered a response from the state by Saturday afternoon and said he has referred the matter to the full court for further action.ā
āThe order is related to an ongoing Republican appeal to the Supreme Court to try to keep ballots received in the mail after Election Day from being countedā¦ā
Pennsylvania has a law that declares that all ballots must be received by 8pm Election Day. Activist liberal judges on the state supreme court have tried to change that law to allow a three day extension, but only the legislature, which is controlled by Republicans has the authority to change the law to something else.
The legal argument for Pennsylvania is pretty solid, which is why Justice Alito has ordered the late ballots to be kept separate. Trump was winning Pennsylvania (and most of the other swing states) on election eve. If the Pennsylvania law is upheld, Trump wins Pennsylvania, and Trumpās lawyers can move onto the stolen states: Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia.
A video by a poll watcher in Michigan showed several Black people carrying pieces of luggage and other large containers that were likely carrying fraudulent ballots in the middle of the night.
In Georgia, a very large number of ballots had votes for Joe Biden only. Ballots with votes for only the presidential candidate rarely happen. The vast majority of people will vote on other contests on the ballot. The most plausible explanation for why Biden got the only vote is that the Democrats came up a few hundred thousand ballots short, and they had to expedite their vote fraud by only filling out the Biden circle so they could get enough votes to steal the election quickly enough.
In several swing states, Democrat officials at some polling stations blocked poll watchers from watching the vote counting. Eventually a court (probably the Supreme Court) will rule that the elections in those states will have to be redone minus the fraud and blocked poll watchers.
Joe Biden is not going to steal the 2020 election no matter how much the liberal media, and the Judas news network, also known as Fox News, may claim otherwise.

Yes, Scoop, I think they were getting overconfident and overplayed their hand. We just have to wait patiently (and courageously) for the truth to come outāand possibly contact our state legislators as well. Of course, it’s very frustrating and victory won’t come easy, but I believe truth and justice are going to win.
