Mike Tyson was invited to the Jimmy Connors Podcast to do an hour-long interview recently and at one point shared his thoughts on the Big Three…
“The thing about Djokovic is he came back from all those injuries. I love Djokovic personally. I like to watch him play. He’s a true fighter. I’m just a big fan of Federer. Federer is very smooth. He’s almost like Muhammad Ali back in his time, how he moves in the air. He’s so smoooooth. Nadal is a great player but he doesn’t look good playing.”
Tyson also shared the fact he saw Connors play at the US Open in 1991, or at least the highlight or replays, “I saw you when you were 31, you said to the umpire, “Give me a break, I’m 31 years old!”
Connors later noted that he was 39 not 31.
Tyson also mentioned being impressed by Coco Gauff. “Coco is amazing. She has a lot of time to cultivate her skills and get better.”
