AP Snubs Kenin And Gives Sportswoman of Year to Osaka

The Associated Press has named US Open champ Naomi Osaka as Sportswoman of the Year, snubbing the WTA player who achieved the superior year, American Sofia Kenin.

Osaka had an excellent year on the court, winning the US Open and compiling a 16-3 won-loss record. Osaka skipped Roland Garros and lost in the round of 32 in Melbourne to Coco Gauff.

American Sofia Kenin has been largely ignored by the media despite the fact she achieved considerably more than Osaka in 2020. Kenin won the Australian Open and made the finals of US Open, accomplishing an overall 24-9 record. Kenin also reached the round of 16 at Roland Garros. Wimbledon was not played this year due to the corona virus.

Without a doubt, Osaka’s political activism helped her get this award. Or perhaps was it some other non-sports related factor?

Kenin has remained politically quiet through her career and has never been involved in any controversy.

Is this award by the Associated Press further evidence that the mainstream media is heavily biased in favor of promoting the leftist agenda?

Tennis is making a big mistake promoting the ‘in your face’ political activism of Osaka as a good thing. It’s destroying the nba…

NBA Braces For Record 40% Drop In Revenue In 2020-2021 Season
    10/28/2020

Amid crashing NBA viewership now that basketball has become a venue for “in your face” (whether you asked for it or not) political activism, it will not come as a surprise that NBA revenues are also slumping and according to financial numbers shared with teams and obtained by ESPN, NBA’s revenues dropped 10% to $8.3 billion for the 2019-20 season.

Among the biggest reasons for the revenue loss were an $800 million loss in gate receipts and a $400 million loss in sponsorships and merchandise, and in a “surprise” twist, the NBA’s losses also included $200 million “net negative impact” from the loss of a partnership with China following Daryl Morey tweet promoting Hong Kong freedom a year ago.

This explains why some of the NBA’s most vocal domestic social justice warriors are also so bizarrely mute when it comes to China’s trampling of basic human rights: all players have a vested financial interest and incentive to keep their mouths shut when it comes to any China criticism. Which may also explain why said SJWs are so much more vocal when it comes to bashing injustices in their own country as a diversion for their hypocrisy.

But if the 2019-2020 disaster was bad, 2020-2021 is shaping up to be nothing short of horrific: as the NBA and National Basketball Players Association discuss start dates and financial amendments to the collective bargaining agreement, ESPN writes that “the potential for a grim financial landscape without fans in the 2020-21 season looms over the league………

For tennis to celebrate and honor Osaka for her politicizing but then denounce and demonize Margaret Court for her religious convictions is a horrific injustice. To hear Andy Roddick go on the Tennis Channel and omit Margaret Court from his all time top 10 women players was shameful, biased and the worst form of a55 kissing of the leftist media elite you will ever see. It proves to get a big job in the media it helps if you hate Trump and all strong conservative values voices. Tennis has to be careful not to push this bias to far because a lot of fans will reject the sport. Leave the politics out of the sport, let the sport be pure.
