Rafael Nadal, currently ranked 663 in the world, will make his return to the ATP World Tour in Brisbane in the first week of January 2024.
Nadal’s match record in 2023 is 1-3. He lost both matches at United Cup, both in three sets to Cam Norrie and Alex deMinaur. Then at Australian Open, Nadal defeated Jack Draper in four sets before losing to Mackenzie McDonald in three sets in the second round.
At the end of 2023, Nadal lost first round at Paris Indoors to Tommy Paul and then went 1-2 in the round robin of Nitto ATP Finals – losing to Taylor Fritz and Felix Auger Aliassime, and beating Nadal Academy pal Casper Ruud 75 75.
So in his last seven ATP matches, the 37 year old winner of 22 Grand Slam titles is 2-7.
Nadal has not competed since the loss to McDonald in Melbourne.
Nadal’s coaching team is Carlos Moya, Marc Lopez and Gustavo Marcaccio.

Sam, Nadal posted a video of himself announcing this comeback, devoid of any joy or emotion, it looks and sounds like he’s being forced at gunpoint to do this. Looks like he’s reading from a teleprompter. You would think he’d be thrilled to be able to compete again, what he loves to do most of all. Perhaps he’s being forced into this comeback by nike babolat and the establishment? something very bizarre about this new Rafa video.

Sam, It wouldn’t be so much about the appearance fees, the guy has earned over $200m already. It seems he’s being forced. Can’t quite put a finger on what exactly is going on but the whole episode feels odd. The establishment PR campaign promoting Rafa is in high gear now. Hope Catherine is okay, surely she got forced into taking the shot. Hopefully she will resurface soon.

Sam, assuming you saw the Rafa comeback interview videos, which there have been several so far, he almost seems drugged or under hypnosis. It doesn’t seem quite like the real Nadal.

Actually, Scoop, I haven’t watched them. But I may try to find one just to see for myself.
Anyway, speaking of the jabs and health, I guess you heard that Chris Evert’s cancer is back. And apparently she’s fully jabbed. In fact, here’s a comment she made last year: “I’m a big proponent of the vaccine.” 🙄
It’s sad to hear about her diagnosis, but the Covid jabs are basically known to turbocharge cancer, so what can you really say? 😒
