Novak Djokovic beat Carlos Alcaraz 62 63 in the ATP Final semis today in Italy.
His supremacy is evoking some of the greatest plaudits in TV tennis broadcasting history.
Robbie Koenig, the former ATP doubles journeyman and first class TV analyst offered these two gems…
“He’s about to be a billionaire but he is playing like he’s on the verge of bankruptcy.”
“FLOOD THE COURT AND SEE IF THIS GUY CAN WALK ON WATER!”
Those may be two of the greatest one-liners in TV tennis broadcasting history.

It’s startling how dominant Djokovic is now, I believe he played his greatest level of tennis this year and next year could be better. They are even bringing back the ghost of Nadal to try to overthrow the king.

It will be interesting to see what Nadal looks like if he returns. Can’t see him winning another major title, though, without some “help.” 🦹

Nadal was 1-9 in his last 10 matches. Can’t expect any better unless there’s some scripting going on.

It will be fairly obvious if they do that for Rafa. Also Coco’s matches should be observed closely with suspicion. They are pushing too hard to make her Serena 2 instead of letting it happen naturally. Well, they tried that and she couldn’t win anything.

Sam, I just saw a suspect in juniors from Australia. Strong suspicions there have been several others. And some very prominent names and GS champions may have slipped through undetected too.
