Clijsters Wants ATP To Marry WTA

Former WTA world no. 1 and Grand Slam champion Kim Clijsters wants the WTA and ATP to merge and marry…
“It would make the brand much stronger. If we all have that mindset and it’s everyone together as a unit. That’s the only way we can get to a place where combined events put the same amount of women as men on center courts and night matches.”
So far no ATP players or figures are announcing an equal interest in such a commitment to the WTA.

WTA is all in on getting equal prize money. But it’s an open market, why aren’t they aspiring to making an even better product than ATP and thereby earning more not equal? They can go it alone and be better, no? Then once they produce the better product and better profits they can force the ATP to beg for equal prize money, no?
