Ht: 5-3

Age: 17.

Hometown: Matawan, NJ

First Tennis Memory: “My dad just tossing the balls, like feeding balls, when I first started tennis.”

Tennis Inspirations: “Up till I was like 12, I used to watch Serena, Venus and Agassi and Sampras when I was younger. I used to really be inspired by them.”

Hobbies/Leisure Activities: “I read, watch TV, I used to play soccer.”

Last Book Read: “Kite Runner.”

Favorite Movies: “The Bourne trilogy, those are my favorite movies.”

Musical Tastes: “Beyonce, Rihanna, Eminem, I just like that kind of music.”

Favorite TV Show: “I don’t have one.”

Pre-Match Feeling: “Just like getting focused, getting ready for the match, think about my opponent, also strategy.”

Favorite Meal: “Anything pasta.”

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: “Cookie dough.”

Greatest Tennis Moment: “Playing here at the U.S. Open [laughs].”

Most Painful Tennis Moment: “Hmm…probably when I lost in the quarters at Orange Bowl. I played really well there. And I felt like I could have won that match but she (Nastia Kolar) was really good, so, yeah (lost 46 63 46).”

Funny Tennis Memory: “In the 12s my friends were playing a doubles match. Myself and my partner were going to play the winner of that doubles match, and we were like upstairs – dancing up there. And our friends were just on the court and they were looking at us, like not even paying attention to the court. So it was really funny. In Albany. I was playing doubles with Kyle McPhillips.”

Embarrassing Tennis Memory: “I don’t know. I don’t know.”

Strangest Match: “I was in the 12s, I was playing doubles with my friend Gina Carani and we were playing Danielle Collins and Rebecca Bodeen. And they were just like pushing and we were getting lobbed, like everything, coming to the net, we get lobbed. And it was the weirdest doubles match. And it was so windy outside. And we lost [smiles].”

Which Match Did You Play Your Very Best: “Either that match at Orange Bowl, or at Easter Bowl, when I played Ellen Tsay. I felt like I was going for all my shots and making everything. She would hit like really good serves and I would somehow hit like awesome returns. It just felt really good.”

Favorite Players To Watch: “I like to watch Henin. Djokovic [smiles]. Nadal. The Williams sisters. (Any juniors?) Not really [laughs].”

Favorite Sport Outside Tennis: “Soccer.”

Toughest Competitors Encountered: “Nastia Kolar. Or Lauren Davis.”

Funniest Player Encountered: “Kyle McPhillips. She does like the funniest stuff. She’ll like just randomly break out dancing. Like we’ll be standing there just talking, she’ll break out dancing [smiles].”

People Qualities Most Admired: “Kind. Honest. Fun.”
