Former world no. 21 and two time WTA tournament winner Amanda Anisimova has returned to tennis training this week in South Florida.
The just turned 22 year old announced in May that she was taking an indefinite break from professional tennis.
Anisimova, a former Roland Garros semifinalist in 2019, was spotted training at the Barry University campus tennis courts in Miami Shores, Florida. She said, “Second day back at it… changed perspective.”
Last weekend, Anisimova exhibited her artwork in Tribeca in New York City as part of a gallery show by renowned tennis artist Ted Dimond. Her last WTA match was a first round loss in Madrid to Arantxa Rus.
