Lucky Lloyd Harris Falls Into Miami Main Draw

Gael Monfils brings lots of good fortune for Lloyd Harris. It was Monfils who Harris defeated for his first ATP main tour win last year in Chengdu 36 62 61.
And today at Miami Open, Monfils was forced to withdraw with a foot/achilles injury suffered in Indian Wells vs Kohlschreiber. And now Harris will enter the draw to replace the 16 seed and face Robin Haase in an hour or so. Coco Gauff Dazzles in WTA Debut

She came, she saw and she conquered. Coco Gauff won Roland Garros juniors, finaled at an ITF pro event in Arizona earlier this year and today she made her WTA main tour debut a successful one with a 36 63 64 win over Caty McNally. Court 7 was full to capacity, with some heavyweight tennis figures watching the thrilling battle - Tony Godsick, Sven Groenveld, Patrick Mouratoglou, Robby Poole, photo man Paul Zimmer, Kyrgios agent John Morris and Kathy Rinaldi. Miami Open Press Box View

By Scoop Malinowski The press box here at Miami Open is in a corner on the level of luxury suites, adjacent to a LIV night club which is where the player press conferences were held yesterday. As I look out the window, I can see 3/4 of the stadium court which is blocked the temporary bleacher behind the one baseline.   Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams crossed paths at the ribbon cutting ceremony on stadium but they did not acknowledge each other.
