Hi Scoop, I’ve just finished reading the book and have thoroughly enjoyed it. A book of what people connected to tennis have to say about Roger … this is such a great idea! Thanks for doing all the interviews and compiling them into a book. -Min via message left at tennis-prose.com

Facing Federer is one of the most interesting books I’ve read. Each player takes us for a ride and tells what it was like playing Federer and what he was like on and off the court. I enjoyed each reaction from all the players because each experience was different. You didn’t know what to expect or what they were going to say. Some had interesting things to say about Federer, some surprising answer…s, or just simply ones you could not put down and forget. Also, you learn about Federer as well, especially early in his career how he struggled against players who later, he eventually beat. It’s amazing to see how Federer became Federer, the greatest player in the game. The cover, “Facing Federer” Symposium of a Champion attracts the viewer right away with it’s purple and appealing look. There’s also pictures in the back, which are entertaining, and scores of all the matches, for example, Blake, Berydch, and Grosjean. I learned about other players as well, just not Federer. –Christian Koskorelos

Just read a great comment in your book by Greg Sharko, about how Sharko was taking a pic of Federer with Sharko’s family and Federer got someone else to take the pic so Sharko could be in it..real nice, fast thinking and I can never imagine any other major celeb doing that. –Harold Ashenberg

We all like it. My wife has read the most so far. She actually plays more tennis than my son or I.
She plays on USTA ladies teams. The book is on our kitchen table and we all read it when we sit down to eat or instead of reading the paper. It is very good for that because you don’t have to remember where you were. You can just start reading and it is very entertaining. –Mark Sanders

I’ve only read three chapters and I can’t wait to get another chance to read more. I find this book very entertaining and insightful as it brings you into the private inner circle with the Swiss Maestro and many other legends. –Yamil Sacin
