Greatest Career Moment: Winning all four National Clay Court age groups in four consecutive years. And beating Martina in 1983, her only loss that year.
Most Painful Moment: Losing to Chris Evert at the 1981 Italian Open after being up 6-2 5-3 40-30 when I was 15ā¦and then 35 years later being told by Paula Smith I really won that match as she overheard the linesmen gloating after the match that they called my outright winner out and saved Chrisā¦
Favorite Tournaments: French Open, German Open, US Open.
Best You Ever Felt On Court: German Open 1983 (made finals, lost to Evert 64 76) and French Open 1983 (made QF) ā¦Italian Open 1981 – the first two sets in the three set ālossā to Evert.
Strangest Match: Donāt remember.
Funny Tennis Memory: Skiing on separate days in Aspen with Chris and Martina and noticing how their skiing styles perfectly matched their tennis styles.

Embarrassing Tennis Memory: When I was asked to speak at a Virginia Slims sponsored luncheon in front of a huge group of women when I was fourteen and had never done that before and was not prepared for it.

After her tennis career, Horvath earned her BS and MBA at the Wharton School of Business and then worked on Wall Street until 2003. She is married with three childrena nd resides in Short Hills, NJ.
