Even legends endure double bagels

By Scoop Malinowski Researching my next book Facing Serena/Facing Steffi I came across some surprising results. Steffi Graf once double bageled Tracy Austin, who was at the end of her career. The match was 12 years after the first match they played, which Austin won over the 14 year old Graf 64 60 in Filderstadt, Germany. The rematch was 12 years after the first match, the only two times they played. Continue to read full article...

NaomiOsaka大坂なおみ By Scoop Malinowski US Open champion Naomi Osaka is still bothered by the fact that the highlight moment of her career - winning the US Open - was destroyed by the inner ugly and horrid sportsmanship of Serena Williams. “I mean, of course I'm happy that I won a Grand Slam,” Osaka told reporters in a press conference on Monday. “I don't think there's anything that can take away from that. But I don't know. I feel like not that when I look back on it that it's a bad memory, but I feel like it was so strange, I didn't just want to think about it. I wanted to just push it to the side. By Richard Pagliaro I think Patrick's a good coach. Serena has won more majors after 30 than any champion in history and part - certainly not all but part - of that is his influence. Serena Lashes Out At Disproportionate Drug Testing

The 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams is not happy about the amount of times she has been targeted for drug testing. The 36 year old American revealed on Twitter that she has drug-tested yet again in 2018 — and she accused anti-doping authorities of racial discrimination for subjecting her to considerably more tests than her WTA competitors. Roland Garros Talk: Is Serena Breaking The Rules?

serena WTA player Arina Rodionova asked a very good question on Twitter. Nothing against Serena's outfit, looks pretty cool actually. But just wondering how is that allowed by the rules if we are only allowed to wear legging until the middle of the calf the longest, and ALWAYS have to wear skirt/shorts on top of the leggings. Were there any rules changes? Continue to read full article...
