Nick Kyrgios crashed out of the Australian Open last night in three sets to Milos Raonic, it's the first time the Aussie entertainer has ever lost in the first round of the Melbourne major and now his ranking could fall all the way to the 75 region.

It's three years now that Lleyton Hewitt has been at the helm of the Australian Davis Cup team and two of those years produced first round crash outs, including this weekend's surprising disastrous loss to Germany.
Hewitt's aggressive, pushy captaining style has clearly worked with developing young Alex Deminaur into a major prospect who has made a big name for himself by reaching an ATP final this year and by extending Alex Zverev to a fifth set tiebreaker in the first singles match on Friday.

Former world number one Marcelo Rios continues to hold the media in disdain. Rios, who has had a confrontational and often bitter relations with the media since his junior career, was fined $2,500 on Saturday for telling journalists they "suck" at a Davis Cup tie vs. Ecuador.
The heavily tattoed and very muscular 42-year-old Chilean, now based in Sarasota, FL, was sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) after he refused to be interviewed during the Davis Cup clash contested by Chile and Ecuador in Santiago, Chile.

Australian Davis Cup captain Lleyton Hewitt selected Alex Deminaur, Nick Kyrgios John Peers and Jordan Thompson to represent Australia in their coming tie vs Germany this weekend.
It's not an entirely understandable decision by captain Hewitt as Thompson has an 0-3 match record on the year and is struggling with confidence issues.
