Zverev Knows He’s Innocent

2024 Rome champion and former Olympic gold medalist Alexander Zverev believes his domestic violence case is not affecting his on court performance. Also the world no. 4 is confident he will win the upcoming trial.

“At the end of the day, I do believe in the German system. I do believe in the truth. I have to be certain that, I know what I did, I know what I didn’t do. That’s, at the end of the day, what’s going to come out, and I have to trust in that. Everything else is out of my hands. Not out of my hands, but I do believe that l’m not going to lose this procedure… There’s absolutely no chance I am. That’s why I can play calmly, and I think my results have been showing it. Winning Rome is a big title. And if it would be on my mind I wouldn’t be playing the way l am.”

Zverev has been accused to domestic violence by two women, neither of which filed any police reports. The one first revealed her story to a little-respected tennis journalist with a history of militant political agenda pushing. Zverev is the 4 seed at French Open and will face Nadal in the first round.
