Iga out, lost to Anisimova in three sets and said the loss was due to karma for doing so well last year. A very bizarre excuse for losing to the woman she crushed at Wimbledon final. A very odd tournament. The stars of the WTA are not stars. I’d rather see a change of pace, how about a big money tourn for women ranked outside 100-500 randomly picked. Prefer to see new faces than the same old boring WTA players. All top 8 WTA are boring.

Going from the WTA Finals in Riyadh to the ATP Finals in Turin makes it clear the inequality of ATP/WTA. Turin capacity 12,000+ sold out every session vs capacity 4,200 and 2/3 sold out across the week in Saudi Arabia. Totals a generous estimation of 22,000 in attendance in Riyadh vs 183,000 on site in Turin.
