When John McEnroe Met Muhammad Ali

ali-fraz
John McEnroe said on the NBC telecast of the Roland Garros doubles final that he was fortunate to meet the boxing legend Muhammad Ali on two brief occasions at sports function. McEnroe said Ali got in his face and whispered: “You crazier than me.”

The second encounter included McEnroe’s wife Patty: “He whispered to my wife, ‘You married crazy man, he’s crazier than me.”

A long-time boxing enthusiast and supporter McEnroe stated that Ali was “a hero for many people” and “Nobody laid it on the line like Ali did. Can you imagine any athlete giving up three and a half years of their prime to take a stand to defend what he believed in?” McEnroeJohnfhvolleygoodMay20

Ali was special. He was an open book. He wasn’t afraid to stand up for what he believed- a very difficult thing to do. Ali was a true hero and was an out of the ring, thinker!

Gans: Just about zero star athletes today are willing to stand up and defend what they believe in like Ali did – today’s star athletes just zip their lip to protect their images – the only star athlete who is not afraid to speak out is the HWT champ Tyson Fury who is a Christian and he often will criticize Jewish control of media and banking and the satanist agenda and the degenerating culture which is by design – Ali was beyond incredible as not only a boxer but also a person – I believe he is the most famous person in the world and perhaps even more popular than Jesus Christ –
