Wertheim Thinks He’s Judge and Jury Of Djokovic

Tennis Channel’s Jon Wertheim must think he’s in a position of authority to cast judgements on Novak Djokovic.

In a recent mailbag, the tennis commentator took some cheap shots at the ATP world no. 1.

“For such an intelligent guy, does Djokovic so often fail to get it? It strikes me there is a glaring irony to Djokovic. When he plays tennis, he is so balanced, so steady and impeccably positioned. When he doesn’t play tennis, he sure spends a lot of time in awkward and difficult spots, often his own doing. Let’s be clear, there are unmistakable instances of virtue. He showed more leadership and compassion than any tennis administrator, in pushing for a player-driven relief fund.”

“Then a few days later he frittered away good will with his irresponsible position on vaccines and regrettable choice of words, especially during a global pandemic. He has used his social media platform to showcase good and dance with his wife; he has used social media to give credence to a supplement peddler and espouse a “theory” that positive energy impacts water quality. In tennis terms: he breaks a lot, and he gives back a lot of breaks.”

Dr. Wertheim must think he’s an expert on vaccines or is he just a puppet for the new world order vaccine agenda? If vaccines work, then why would people who want to take a vaccine in their system be afraid of anyone who does not? You know, if masks really work, then why did the world have to shutdown?

Why does the world need a vaccine for a virus that the CDC recently announced has a mortality rate of .05% for people 49 and younger? Come on Dr. Wertheim, you need to stay in your lane.

Wertheim also butted his nose in to scoff at Djokovic’s interest in the theory that positive energy may impact water quality. Why does Wertheim oppose Djokovic’s freedom to be a forward thinker and free thinker? Could it be possible that positive energy improving water quality would be a benefit for humanity? Yes. Why take media cheap shots at Djokovic for pursuing an interest that can improve quality of life? Is Dr. Wertheim now an expert on positive energy and water? Or does Wertheim have a fear of positive change? Fear the pursuit of progress? What’s the worst outcome if it later becomes proven that positive energy has no effect on water quality. Absolutely nothing. But it’s worth studying and experimenting.

I don’t know who this guy Wertheim is to think he’s judge and jury to tell Novak Djokovic what he should be doing with his time and energy off court.

He sure doesn’t have the guts to criticize Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King for their non-tennis lifestyles or judgements or interests, why go after Djokovic?

Hey Jon, just stick to forehands and backhands.

    Well said, Scoop. Exactly.

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 29, 2020 at 11:06 am

Wartheim apparently doesn’t like free thought. Instead of trying to muzzle Djokovic he should muzzle himself.

  • Cory · May 29, 2020 at 11:39 am

Agree completely Scoop. I’m a reader for maybe a year now and first-time comment. I am very much into energy in water… I have a few heddekas and tensor rings in my house. They absolutely change the ionic structure of water – take a pitcher of water, add a couple drops of food dye, put the pitcher in freezer on top of a ring or heddeka, and see the food coloring swirl.
I’m also very much against vaccines – we have skin for a reason – altho if people want to get them, that’s their prerogative. It’s their property right to do as they wish with their own bodies. Like you said, Dr. Wertheim is espousing merely his opinion, but doing so dogmatically and cavalierly. His (or anyone’s) opinion doesn’t bother me so much as his presumption and authority with which he presents it.

  • Todd · May 29, 2020 at 12:27 pm

Nice job calling him out….ridiculous stance by him.

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 29, 2020 at 12:45 pm

Cory, thanks for reading the site through all the drama and sticking with it. And thanks for educating on this water energy, which I know nothing about. What are heddekas and tensor rings and why should I get them? Where can I get them? What is the benefit of positive energized water? Sorry for so many questions but I’m intrigued. Wertheim’s subtle attempts to misportray Novak Djokovic as a conspiracy theorist kook are pathetic and deserve to be vehemently opposed.

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 29, 2020 at 12:47 pm

More should Todd. Maybe he’ll offer an apology to Djokovic. I don’t think Gimelstob would have tolerated this by Wertheim, Gimelstob was is a stanch Djokovic loyalist.

  • Sam · May 29, 2020 at 7:00 pm

When Wertheim comments on Djokovic’s “off the court” activities, his comments carry no more weight than anyone else’s. So, it’s best to just ignore him. 😉

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 29, 2020 at 8:28 pm

Sam, plenty of sheeple will be influenced by what Wertheim said about Djokovic and it will cost him some support. I think Djokovic’s too gallant stances in this article deserve respect and support not the opposite. Malcolm X said the power of the media can make the guilty look innocent and the innocent look guilty. They did the same thing to Sandgren.

  • Sam · May 30, 2020 at 9:01 am

That’s true—the media are always up to their sleazy little tricks. But even if it does cost Djokovic some support, those were probably only fair-weather fans anyway.

It’s good that Djokovic isn’t afraid to think for himself at least. And I do think it’s admirable that he’s making a stand against mandatory vaccination.

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 30, 2020 at 10:45 am

Sam, it’s a shame though that a great champion like Djokovic will lose fans because of media deception and defamation. I noticed very clearly Dan, when he was involved in the site, used to always take cheap shots to chip away at Djokovic. Very strange and disturbing. Maybe it has something to do with the cross he always wears, I don’t know? Djokovic is human and he has made many mistakes but for Wertheim to passive aggressive attack him for his positions on water energy and vaccines is pathetic and unacceptable. As bad as constantly attacking and bullying Margaret Court for her religious convictions.

Hi Scoop, i was with you on the domain changing SJW nutters’ forum. We have made a better forum with more features and better functionality called tennisdiscoursedotcom, you and your friends are welcome anytime, we don’t have PC rules and leftist agenda, it’s basically a free speech forum where people are not judged because of their political views.. For now we have few members and posts because we’re busy family people but we made a forum anyway, we made a thread about you too: https://tennisdiscourse.com/community/threads/scoop-malinowski-the-best-tennis-writer-blogger-ever.92/

  • Cory · May 30, 2020 at 12:56 pm

Scoop – i couldn’t tell you much about scalar energy as it’s one of those things difficult to describe (and I’m a layman). The heddeka and tensor/scalar rings make use of scalar energy; Tesla based a lot of his research around scalar/ionic energy. It has all to do with how resonant frequencies vibrate and interact with molecules in air, water, wherever. First, and for a more basic understanding, check out cymatics, or in layman terms, how applied frequency affects particles of sand (can be done with water too). Here’s a vid on YouTube showing vibrations played through a speaker, onto a metal plate, with sand particles resting on top. The sand vibrates into different patterns and complex geometrical shapes as the frequency changes and hits certain frequencies. I’m digressing further, but these specific tones where complex and beautiful shapes are formed are “resonant” tones/frequencies that are used in vibrational healing, chakra stuff, etc. A lot of healing music is based on the resonant tones that cymatics reveal.
That’s not the best video on the subject but a quick intro.

Johnny TD, wow thank you, really appreciate the very kind words for the work I do. Will check it out and thank you very much for supporting this site and my work.

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 30, 2020 at 2:02 pm

Thanks Cory, I’m fasincated in Tesla and his interests. Hope Djokovic produces that movie about him that he has talked about. The media gives Einstein all the glory and accolades but I read he was a very overrated goofball plagiarist who had a good PR team promoting the image we all know. Tesla really was the true genius scientist mastermind.

  • Sam · May 30, 2020 at 4:22 pm

“I noticed very clearly Dan, when he was involved in the site, used to always take cheap shots to chip away at Djokovic. Very strange and disturbing.”

Scoop, usually when someone takes cheap shots like that, they’re projecting their *own* flaws onto someone else. In other words, there are probably things that Dan doesn’t like about himself, and he was most likely conveniently “seeing” them in Djokovic and criticizing them. In a nutshell, he probably had it *backward*.

Yes, the media are full of slander—sad but true. Hopefully Djokovic will learn to be more careful about what he shares with a general audience, though. You really *do* have to keep your cards close to your vest in public. You can’t afford to give the media any free ammunition.

“Wertheim to passive aggressive attack him for his positions on water energy and vaccines is pathetic and unacceptable. As bad as constantly attacking and bullying Margaret Court for her religious convictions.”

Well, come to think of it, Wertheim is probably projecting too. Same with the folks who were calling Court a bigot—in reality, they are the bigots! 😉 It’s best to feel sorry for people like that.

  • Sam · May 30, 2020 at 4:27 pm

“As bad as constantly attacking and bullying Margaret Court for her religious convictions.”

Oh, I just re-read that. Are you saying that *Wertheim* was doing this to Court? If so, that tells you all you need to know—he’s a big bully and a bigot, and his opinions are “Werth”-less. 😛

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 30, 2020 at 9:02 pm

Everyone in the media relentlessly attacks Margaret Court, even Andy Roddick just started with Tennis Channel and the first week he’s on he intentionally omits Court from his all time womens list. Absurd. He did that to pander to his liberal bosses at TC, he knows they all hate Court so to keep his joh secure he piled on against Court. There is no other explanation to snub Court off an all time list. Roddick tried to say Court won many of AOs at a time when many top players didn’t go down to Australia but that’s BS. I can’t remember anyone in the tennis media ever standing up and defending Court, outside of me. I have reached out to Margaret to do a Biofile by contacting her through her web site but no reply yet. Margaret Court won the most majors in history and she sticks to her religious convictions despite how much the media and left attack her, she is a very brave courageous woman, a hero for not caving into public pressure and political correctness. People want to elevate BJK and Ashe into cultural heroes and Court is just as honorable and admirable.

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 30, 2020 at 9:04 pm

Wertheim, McEnroe, Carillo, King, Navratilova, they all take swipes at Court. It’s disgusting. No one in the world of tennis seems to have the guts to stand up and defend her right to her religious convictions. NOT ONE. Pathetic.

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 30, 2020 at 9:06 pm

Even the all time rebel of sports, John McEnroe has become a pussycat, he won’t ever say anything now to rock the boat. He’s totally politically correct. I guess he knows as a white Catholic, if he ever gets out of line he will lose his job in a Manhattan minute.

  • JohnnyTD · May 31, 2020 at 5:49 am

“Navratilova, they all take swipes at Court”

Navratilova got a taste of her own medicine though when she dared to say that transgender athletes have “unfair physical advantages”, that LGBT group Athlete Ally sacked her from her ambassador position… It just confirms these liberal groups act like sects, Navratilove said something that actually made sense and didn’t conform to the liberal hive mind, they turned against her very quickly…

  • Scoop Malinowski · May 31, 2020 at 8:35 am

JohnnyTD, yes, Navratilova sure backed down quietly and meekly didn’t fight for what she believed in. Very wimpish by Navratilova.

  • Doug Day · May 31, 2020 at 11:25 am

Johnny very insightful post. Maybe Wertheim is in need of some job security. Swipes at free thinkers like Nole shows management he “gets it”. Anoyher cancel culture drone in the hive mind.

  • Sam · May 31, 2020 at 4:43 pm

“Channel and the first week he’s on he intentionally omits Court from his all time womens list.”

And that’s really his loss, not Court’s.

“Absurd. He did that to pander to his liberal bosses at TC, he knows they all hate Court so to keep his joh secure he piled on against Court.”

That’s why “making it big” can often be a curse. I mean, if you have to sell your soul to do so, wouldn’t it be better if you simply never became famous in the first place? I sure think so.

“There is no other explanation to snub Court off an all time list.”

Just curious–where would you place her on the all-time list? (Incidentally, I don’t accept a certain middle-aged fraud as part of any all-time list 😉 .)

“Roddick tried to say Court won many of AOs at a time when many top players didn’t go down to Australia but that’s BS.”

What’s the truth about that, Scoop? Did lots of top players go after all?

“I can’t remember anyone in the tennis media ever standing up and defending Court, outside of me.”

What about Mary Joe Fernandez? Isn’t she supposed to be pretty “devout”?

“I have reached out to Margaret to do a Biofile by contacting her through her web site but no reply yet.”

Interesting—what do you make of her non-response?

“Margaret Court won the most majors in history and she sticks to her religious convictions despite how much the media and left attack her, she is a very brave courageous woman, a hero for not caving into public pressure and political correctness.”

    Very true.

“People want to elevate BJK and Ashe into cultural heroes and Court is just as honorable and admirable.”

But she’s not politically *correct*, so she’s “dead” to them. 😉

“Wertheim, McEnroe, Carillo, King, Navratilova, they all take swipes at Court.”

Shows what a big joke they all are. What about Evert? Does she take swipes too?

“It’s disgusting. No one in the world of tennis seems to have the guts to stand up and defend her right to her religious convictions. NOT ONE. Pathetic.”

Like I said, they’re all a big joke. Who *cares* if you made it big in the tennis world if you have zero integrity as a human being?

Having said that, I bet a lot of prominent tennis people admire her privately.

As for Navratilova, it’s sad that she caved about the transgender issue, but no real surprise there. She’s too wimpy to oppose political correctness. 😛

Incidentally, when people slander others, besides the mechanism of psychological projection, sometimes it’s just plain envy. In any case, this kind of behavior says nothing about the target and everything about the one doing the slandering.

“Oh, Scoop, I’ve noticed that the folks who usually say that you need to “get help” have been pretty quiet lately. Did they get sick or something?”

These lefty fascist democrats are good at slander, I talked about that tennis forum Scoop and I used to post on, I only went there because my old pal, britbox, whom i’ve known for 15+ years used to be for free speech like me, unfortunately his fellow admins are PC fascists, one is a feminist from new york, the other is a gay guy, the typical “demonrat” setup, ofc i don’t judge people for their background or orientation, there are decent right wing gay people too, but these on that forum lived up to the expectations, they had problem with Scoop’s honest political posts which containted nothing illegal like inciting violence, those people aren’t even running ads so they didn’t have to worry about google deindexing them, so they got rid of right wing people out of pure lefty fanaticism, now that Scoop is not making topics there that forum is dead. The same people called me “Jim Jones” and i was never convicted even of stealing a chocolate…. BTW britbox in the end left that team too, he’s just a regular poster now there. I’m not surprised, after all the domain, owner, policy changes that place lost all its credibility.

““I have reached out to Margaret to do a Biofile by contacting her through her web site but no reply yet.”

Interesting—what do you make of her non-response?”

Probably she’s not checking her site/site mail often enough. I’m quite sure it’s not out of fear of the left or something against Scoop.

BTW, on the forum Scoop’s and Doug’s accounts got activated… and the US politics thread got cleaned of spam. Sorry for the delayed activation, we’ll need American moderators on that site, Scoop & Doug you’re always welcome in the moderator team if you feel like it.

“Trump today named antifa a terrorist organization. Major move.”

I hope they do the same in western europe, those german far-left groups torch the cities from time to time and do serious looting. In my country antifa wasn’t a thing and lately foreign, Dutch, German antifa groups come here to disrupt events they think far right, they don’t even know anything about the historical background of those events…

  • Sam · June 1, 2020 at 9:34 am

“MOST EVERY PERSON WHO IS INSTALLED AS A STAR IS CONTROLLED PUPPET. THEY HAVE TO SHILL THE LIBERAL AGENDA. MANY HAVE SAID CRYPICALLY THEY SOLD THEIR SOUL TO THE DEVIL ESPECIALLY IN MUSIC INDUSTRY.”

Scoop, I knew that about entertainers. But at least athletes have to earn their way to the top. I guess the same principle still applies, though.

“A LITTLE ABOVE GRAF SERENA SELES EVERT MARTINA.”

Wait, we’re comparing apples to apples, right?? So, let’s make that: Graf, Seles, Evert, and Navratilova. 🙂 Well, if she tops that list, then I guess she’d be the GOAT.

“COURT HAS TO BE RATED VERY VERY HIGH. TO SNUB COURT IS POLITICAL BIAS IN ITS UGLIEST FORM.”

Thanks for your assessment. I’ve often heard that Court was somewhat overrated, but maybe that’s just the biased opinions of those who dislike her personal views.

“BEFORE MY TIME WHEN AO WAS LOWER ON THE GS TOTEM POLE BUT IT CHANGED IN THE 80s 90s. HEY A MAJOR IS A MAJOR. THEY STILL COUNT. KRIEK WON TWO.”

    Makes sense.

“MARY JOE IS A DEAF NUTE ABOUT HER RELIGIOUS CONVICTIONS. EITHER SHE SOLD HER SOUL OR SHE CONVERTED.”

Well, no matter what people may say about themselves, actions speak louder than words.

“EITHER SHE IS NOT SEEING THE EMAILS OR SHE DOESNT TRUST AMERICAN MEDIA.”

You could always mail a regular letter to her in Australia, I guess.

“NO CHRISSIE IS TOO BUSY HATING TRUMP ON TWITTER.”

Well, after going through 3 husbands, I guess she can’t find anything more interesting to occupy her time with. 😉

“A LOT OF SELLOUTS IN HIGH POSITIONS.”

    Definitely.

Anyway, I think the moral of the story is: Better to be a regular person with integrity than a celebrity with no principles.

“FOR SURE. SAME WITH TRUMP. BUT AS SUZANNE SOMERS SAID: IF YOU SUPPORT OR PRAISE TRUMP IN HOLLYWOOD ITS CAREER SUICIDE.”

    Says it all about Hollywood.

“MARTINA BACKED DOWN FAST LIKE A WIMP.”

At least she deserves a little credit for trying in the beginning.

“SAM, THey are losing now and they know it.”

    I hope so.

“Evil is in a PANIC. Trump today named antifa a terrorist organization. Major move. The big arrests are coming, you can feel it. the treasonous nation wreckers are trying to destroy America to save their own asses.”

Well, hopefully all their attempts will completely backfire.

  • Sam · June 1, 2020 at 9:43 am

“These lefty fascist democrats are good at slander”

Yes, they are. Happy people don’t act that way. Happy people may criticize strongly when it’s truly warranted, but they don’t go around taking cheap shots at people and slandering.

“deindexing them, so they got rid of right wing people out of pure lefty fanaticism, now that Scoop is not making topics there that forum is dead.”

Glad to see they got what they deserved. When people kick you out like that, they’re actually doing you a favor. Reminds me of some lines from an old Robbie Nevil song:

    “Maybe it’s true,
    I’m not your kind…
The kind you leave behind.” 🙂

“Probably she’s not checking her site/site mail often enough. I’m quite sure it’s not out of fear of the left or something against Scoop.”

Yeah, maybe Court doesn’t spend much time on the Web.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 1, 2020 at 4:18 pm

Snubbing Court out of the all time list is as absurd as snubbing Serena.

Hollywood is really pedo wood. It’s a hell hole of degenerate filth and anyone with common sense knows how low the quality of films and tv has sunk since the 1970s.

Patriots and Trump have all the evidence of corruption, treason and pedofilia blackmail. They are now encountering desperate resistance to block it all from being revealed. They will do anything to save their own asses including wrecking America. The wounded animal is the most dangerous. Good vs evil. Patriots vs satanist and zombies.

I don’t get why Evert is daily attacking Trump, Trump supported her charity tennis events for years. I think it’s because her TV bosses hate Trump and conservatives and she has to fake hate Trump to keep her job. My theory.

I have friends in the music industry. It’s a demonic business. I won’t share stories, too horrible. But just look at how the images of Madonna and Taylor Swift and Britney Speaks have changed from the beginning, good clean positive images, now to porn whores. It’s all about negatively influencing the youth and pop music is a powerful medium.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 2, 2020 at 9:54 am

What’s going on now is that the Democrat/Communist party was within an arms length of taking over total control of the country, and then their plans were frustrated when Trump won the election. They’ve been acting like shrieking Banshees ever since; trying one scheme after another to get Trump out of office. First the Russian collusion, the the Ukrainian phone call, then the deliberate Chinese Communist Corona virus biological warfare weapons attack with which they deliberately infected the whole world, with a 100,000 deaths in the USA alone, then, with the collusion of their Globalist Democrat Governors, the shutdown intended to collapse the economy, the economy, which up until that time had been Trump’s greatest accomplishment, and now, using their usual rent-a-mobs, these instigated worldwide riots. I can’t get over how so many people can never see the big picture, they act like the bull in the bull ring, always chasing the red cape, like the dumb animals they are, never realizing that it’s not the cape, but the Matador holding the sword that they should see as the mortal threat.

  • Sam · June 2, 2020 at 5:37 pm

“Snubbing Court out of the all time list is as absurd as snubbing Serena.”

Since I’m not really into cheaters, I guess we can agree to disagree on that one. 🙂 But certainly Court is underrated these days. Actually, I don’t know a lot about her tennis.

“Hollywood is really pedo wood. It’s a hell hole of degenerate filth and anyone with common sense knows how low the quality of films and tv has sunk since the 1970s.”

It’s very sad. There were a lot of great comedies in the ’60s and ’70s.

“The wounded animal is the most dangerous. Good vs evil. Patriots vs satanist and zombies.”

It really is disturbing how low some of those people will stoop.

“I don’t get why Evert is daily attacking Trump, Trump supported her charity tennis events for years. I think it’s because her TV bosses hate Trump and conservatives and she has to fake hate Trump to keep her job. My theory.”

Why couldn’t she just keep quiet? She’s also friends (I believe) with Martina. Besides projection on Chris’s part, I suspect there’s some jealousy there too. And the smartest celebrities don’t wear their political views on their sleeves.

What about Sampras? Has he dissed Court too?

“I have friends in the music industry. It’s a demonic business.”

At the very top, certainly. But the artists lower on the totem pole—the indies—probably have more authenticity. Just curious, Scoop—why do your friends stay in the business?

“But just look at how the images of Madonna and Taylor Swift and Britney Speaks have changed from the beginning, good clean positive images, now to porn whores.”

Madonna wasn’t really all that wholesome to begin with, but she definitely got worse. It’s not possible to stay “wholesome” in the world of pop music nowadays.
It may have been in the ’50s and ’60s, though.

“It’s all about negatively influencing the youth and pop music is a powerful medium.”

Yes, music can be powerful. And great music can do a lot of good.

  • Sam · June 2, 2020 at 5:47 pm

“They’ve been acting like shrieking Banshees ever since; trying one scheme after another to get Trump out of office.”

    You nailed it.

“First the Russian collusion, the the Ukrainian phone call, then the deliberate Chinese Communist Corona virus biological warfare weapons attack with which they deliberately infected the whole world, with a 100,000 deaths in the USA alone”

I agree with the first two, but most of the evidence I’ve seen points to the release of Covid-19 being an accident caused by Chinese incompetence. However, the virus is almost certainly engineered.

“then, with the collusion of their Globalist Democrat Governors, the shutdown intended to collapse the economy, the economy, which up until that time had been Trump’s greatest accomplishment, and now, using their usual rent-a-mobs, these instigated worldwide riots.”

Disgusting. But I believe it will all ultimately backfire on them.

“I can’t get over how so many people can never see the big picture, they act like the bull in the bull ring, always chasing the red cape, like the dumb animals they are, never realizing that it’s not the cape, but the Matador holding the sword that they should see as the mortal threat.”

Colorful analogy. 🙂 Yes, a lot of “sheeple” out there, unfortunately.

Anyway, Scoop, I hope that you’ll eventually be able to get in touch with Court. And maybe one day you can do an interview with Mr. Djokovic himself too. 😉

Sampras is a recluse now. He rarely appears in public, other than IW about once every two years. The last comment I remember Pete made was a shot at Djokovic about ten years ago, “You call that a personality?” But then they later met and Novak told him he was one of his big tennis idols and Pete talks nice about him now.

I believe it’s profitable for famous figures to attack and demonize Trump, they get rewarded for it.

They sign a contract in blood. They sell their souls. See the 70s music industry movie The Phanton of the Paradise. Very very revealing.

Hollywood is a pedo shi7hole. Harvey Weinstein’s career of shame proves it. So does Ricky Gervais speech at this year’s Golden Globes. He outed them all.

I believe Hollywood was always a pedo hell hole – Shirley Temple. Judy Garland. Errol Flynn. Heather O Rourke. Corey Haim. Mario Puzo hinted at child rape by producers in the Godfather book. They are just way more blatantly open about it now.

Thanks Sam I just tried again with M Court. I also have interviewed one on one Djokovic and recently asked him a couple of questions at Miami Open last year. About who he sees as the future heir apparent after himself, as he succeeded Roger and Rafa and took tennis to a higher level, which young players does he see possibly taking tennis to a higher level than he did? He answered Felix Shap Hurkacz but forgot to mention Tsitsipas or he intentionally snubbed him )

“Sampras is a recluse now. He rarely appears in public, other than IW about once every two years.”

Maybe he’s smart. He’s not on “social media” either?

“But then they later met and Novak told him he was one of his big tennis idols and Pete talks nice about him now.”

LOL. I wonder why he was so snarky in the first place?

“I believe it’s profitable for famous figures to attack and demonize Trump, they get rewarded for it.”

Yes, sadly, cheap behavior is often highly rewarded these days. 😛

“See the 70s music industry movie The Phanton of the Paradise. Very very revealing.”

    Interesting—hadn’t heard of that movie.

“Hollywood is a pedo shi7hole. Harvey Weinstein’s career of shame proves it. So does Ricky Gervais speech at this year’s Golden Globes. He outed them all.”

At least it’s out in the open now.

“I believe Hollywood was always a pedo hell hole – Shirley Temple. Judy Garland. Errol Flynn. Heather O Rourke. Corey Haim.”

Probably. And actually Shirley Temple seemed like a very balanced individual.

“They are just way more blatantly open about it now.”

At least now they’re less likely to get away with it.

“Thanks Sam I just tried again with M Court.”

Great. Hopefully Maggie will finally get back to you this time. 🙂

“I also have interviewed one on one Djokovic and recently asked him a couple of questions at Miami Open last year.”

Oh, that’s cool. Maybe in the near future you can appear on one of his live Instagram chats too. 😉 When you interviewed him, Scoop, how did you find him as a person?

    “He answered Felix Shap Hurkacz”

Do you agree with his assessment?

“but forgot to mention Tsitsipas or he intentionally snubbed him”

Well, I doubt he’ll ever mention Kyrgios. 🙂

Sam, Sampras did not like Djokovic’s imitations and joking on court, Pete was dead serious and all business when he was on court, let his Wilson Pro Staff do all his talking. I can see why he didn’t get Djokovic initially, but later he warmed to him after meeting him. I did a long Biofile with Djokovic when he was younger and have asked many press conference questions. I like him a lot, good guy, cool guy, fantastic for the sport though I know of some people in the sport who don’t like him. One former top ten player in WTA loved him, he was her favorite. She went to see him practice at Miami Open on court 1 during the Serena final about five years ago. Djokovic was getting ready for Nadal in the final. No one was there but her. She said she said Hi and he didn’t respond and then she saw him verbally abusing his team, his whole team. It was so bad she went from loving Djokovic, to hating him in a matter of minutes. Everybody has bad moments. Even though I know this story and respect the person who told it, I still like Djokovic. Lots of pressure and tension at the top of the sport. It’s not always smiles and holding trophies. A lot of suffering, tension, stress and pressure is involved too.

I like Felix a lot but he’s stagnated, as has Shap. I think Tsitsipas is the one who can explode into a huge super champion, he’s on pace with Federer at the same age, titles and ranking but corona is stalling his progression. Hurkacz I see more as a Cilic type. I like Moutet and Nishioka too.

  • JohnnyTD · June 3, 2020 at 3:18 pm

Felix and Sinner are the strongest, Felix got in slump after the first half of 2019 though, Sinner is very stable and someone with the potential to take tennis to another level. I don’t know how he put Shapo in there.

“Well, I doubt he’ll ever mention Kyrgios.”

He’s a bit too old now and still not disciplined enough, i don’t know if he has it in him to become a great champ.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 3, 2020 at 5:57 pm

Kyrgios shows flashes of being a great champion, just flashes. His head and heart and soul are not fully committed to maximizing potential. Sinner was red hot for a while last year but slow start this year. Shap looked amazing a few summers ago but stagnated. Could see him exploding into a Nadal force. But more likely see Shap being a Youhzny or hopefully a Kafelnikov / Safin level Hall of Famer.

“Sam, Sampras did not like Djokovic’s imitations and joking on court, Pete was dead serious and all business when he was on court, let his Wilson Pro Staff do all his talking.”

Scoop, doesn’t he realize that everyone is different? 😉

“I like him a lot, good guy, cool guy, fantastic for the sport though I know of some people in the sport who don’t like him.”

I definitely like him overall. Sometimes, though, he jumps on the PC bandwagon, as his latest Instagram post illustrates. 🙁

“She said she said Hi and he didn’t respond and then she saw him verbally abusing his team, his whole team. It was so bad she went from loving Djokovic, to hating him in a matter of minutes.”

    Wow.

    “Everybody has bad moments.”

    That’s true.

“Even though I know this story and respect the person who told it, I still like Djokovic.”

Another thing to keep in mind is that she may not be totally objective about the incident, even if she is sincere. Maybe he was having a terrible day. Does that ultimately excuse his behavior? No. But sometimes things like that happen. And maybe he later apologized to his team.

“Lots of pressure and tension at the top of the sport. It’s not always smiles and holding trophies. A lot of suffering, tension, stress and pressure is involved too.”

Oh, I definitely suspected that. 🙂

“I like Felix a lot but he’s stagnated, as has Shap. Thank you for your assessment.

“Kyrgios shows flashes of being a great champion, just flashes.”

Hasn’t he dissed Djokovic in the past? That was my point about Djokovic never mentioning him as a prospect.

  • JohnnyTD · June 5, 2020 at 4:02 pm

“Hasn’t he dissed Djokovic in the past? That was my point about Djokovic never mentioning him as a prospect.”

Once Kyrgios gave an interview in which he talked about how to dismantle the Big 3. He doesn’t respect or fear Djokovic, probably that’s Nole’s problem with him.

  • Sam · June 5, 2020 at 6:57 pm

Actually, JohnnyTD, Kyrgios has gotten pretty nasty in the past:

    https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2019/may/16/nick-kyrgios-slams-cringeworthy-djokovic-and-salty-nadal-ahead-of-french-open

“Kyrgios used a podcast at the Rome Masters as the platform to reveal his disdain for Novak Djokovic’s “cringeworthy” post-match celebrations and Rafael Nadal’s “super salty” double standards. . . .

“I just feel like he has a sick obsession with wanting to be liked. He just wants to be like Roger (Federer),” the Australian said.”

Sam, media used to be allowed in US Open locker room. I was in there a lot doing Biofiles and different features. I saw some memorable sights. Nalbandian sitting on the floor devastated after he lost early rounds the year after he made semis. Gonzalez smashing everythign and throwing all his adidas and racquets into the trash can. Media was kicked out of locker room about seven years ago. Other stories too from workers. Roddick verbally abusing Djokovic after QF night match and making him cry tears. Bryan Bros almost getting into fight with Knowles Nestor. Courier and Chang’s brother almost throwing down. Chang said something about COurier’s gamesmanship. Courier dropped his bag and said, “What are you going to do about it??

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 5, 2020 at 7:48 pm

Sam, Kygrios and Djokovic had some kind of confrontation at a Mexican tournament player party. Don’t have details.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 5, 2020 at 7:52 pm

There is nothing sick about wanting to be liked. That choice of words shows right there that Kyrgios has an irrational resentment for Djokovic. I will try to find out what happened between the two from Serbia journalists during US Open if I get a credential.

  • Sam · June 6, 2020 at 6:45 pm

“Media was kicked out of locker room about seven years ago.”

    Why was that, Scoop?

“Other stories too from workers. Roddick verbally abusing Djokovic after QF night match and making him cry tears. Bryan Bros almost getting into fight with Knowles Nestor. Courier and Chang’s brother almost throwing down. Chang said something about COurier’s gamesmanship. Courier dropped his bag and said, “What are you going to do about it??”

    🍿

“Sam, Kygrios and Djokovic had some kind of confrontation at a Mexican tournament player party. Don’t have details.”

    ¡Ay, caramba! 😉

“There is nothing sick about wanting to be liked. That choice of words shows right there that Kyrgios has an irrational resentment for Djokovic.”

    Right.

“I will try to find out what happened between the two from Serbia journalists during US Open if I get a credential.”

OK, great. Apparently he was booing Djokovic at some recent event too (can’t remember which).

Sam what is sick is the leftist tennis agenda to exterminate Margaret Court, one of the greatest champions in history, because of her staunch devotion to her religious beliefs.
    h
The players council must have had a vote and voted to keep the media out of the locker room of US Open. Delray, Wash DC did not allow media in back then or now. Now all contact with players is at press conferences or pre scheduled interviews. Back then about 8 years ago I was one of the very few rogue reporters who would go into the locker room and do a spontaneous biofile. I saw some interesting things in the locker room. Never forget Safin showing Escude some fingernail scratched all over his back ) Only a few other reporters went in there. I did a lot of great spontaneous biofiles in there, with Murray, Djokovic, Gasquet, Vilas, McEnroe, Srichiphan, Stepanek, Gaudio, Moya, Edberg, Tursunov, Gilbert, Roddick, Cash, I did a lot of my Rios book in the US Open locker room.

“Sam what is sick is the leftist tennis agenda to exterminate Margaret Court, one of the greatest champions in history, because of her staunch devotion to her religious beliefs.”

Yes, Scoop, that is terrible. But if Court came out tomorrow and said that she’s all for homosexual marriage, hates all police, etc., then she’d probably be hailed as the GOAT. 😛

“The players council must have had a vote and voted to keep the media out of the locker room of US Open.”

    Any idea why?

“I was one of the very few rogue reporters who would go into the locker room and do a spontaneous biofile.”

Was probably a lot more fun that way. 😉

“Never forget Safin showing Escude some fingernail scratched all over his back”

    That’s weird.

“Roddick, Cash, I did a lot of my Rios book in the US Open locker room.”

So I guess you were disappointed when they banned the media?
