Chinese top 30 player Qiang Wang, who beat Serena Williams at Australian Open last year, has hired former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash as her new coach. The two are currently training in Melbourne ahead of the 2021 Australian Open.
Cash worked on a part-time basis last year with rising young American Brandon Nakashima. Nakashima has decided to employ former ATP player Dusan Vemic as his full-time coach.
Wang has previously been coached by former Australian great Peter McNamara and ATP fringe player and hitting partner Thomas Drouet.
