How many current pro players have attended these academies ?
Do they offer scholarships ?
The fees quoted are astounding. No wonder tennis often seen as an elite sport for children of the well off.

Catherine, a lot of pros have spent time at some kind of academy, Tiafoe comes to mind as the unique case as his dad was the janitor at the Maryland academy JCC and so he got a free ride and made the best of it.

The biggest fight in female boxing history happened last night at 02 Arena in London, Claressa Shields beat Savannah Marshall. Billie Jean King has not said anything about this historic event which suggests she is against the equality of female boxing.

Scoop – I have to admit I don’t like boxing. I hate the sight of men hitting each other’s heads so hard their brains slosh around in their skulls causing heaven knows what damage. But that’s ok – it’s male aggression which only harms the participants.
And naturally I’m not keen on women’s boxing. Nothing to do with ‘equality’. For all you know BJK doesn’t like it either. The ‘equality’ we’re talking about isn’t anything to do with male/female activities being exactly the same. Iga Swiatek is no less a player than Djokovic – but they don’t play each other and never would. ‘Equality’ here is only meaningful in the sense that both are supremely good in their own fields. Which are separate.
I’m sure BJ would agree with me. And do you actually like women’s boxing ? I suspect you don’t.
BTW – I’m not interested in some women’s sports, for example cricket, and that’s because women don’t have the sheer physical strength to play the game at its height. Not really true of eg tennis.

Catherine, fighting is the first most original sport. It’s the ultimate contest man vs man. A man must fight in life, for what he believes, for what he wants. It’s a sometimes grim reality of our world. Boxing is man at his best, I don’t love it like I used to as it’s too corrupt and fixed now. But last night’s female fight Marshall vs Shields was a very special event, it was an intriguing grudge match with two colorful personalities. And it was a great action fight. At the same time, I don’t like to see females fight, get punched and hurt. Mixed emotions about the fight last night. But the politics today are a girl can do everything a boy can, and she must. The warped politics are a girl must do everything a boy can. Obviously BJK is a hypocrite regarding females boxing. Her silence indicates she does not support it. Maybe if moderna told her to support female boxing she would.
