Stubbs Tries To Lecture And Censor Sabalenka

The arrogance of the tennis establishment reached a new low this week when tennis analyst and former Grand Slam champion Rennae Stubbs expressed her frustration about WTA world no. 1 Aryna Sabalenka’s runner-up speech in Stuttgart. Sabalenka lost the final to Jelena Ostapenko 46 16 and made some of her typical snarky remarks to her team of two male coaches seated in her player box.
Here is Stubbs’s over-reaction on social media: “I’m really tired of the way she talks about her team with sarcasm after defeats. I can’t take it anymore. Every time she loses, she’s like, Hey guys, great job today. And it’s not funny anymore. So I think something needs to be done about it. Either you thank your team or you don’t, but stop hitting on them every time. It’s passive/aggressive and already a little annoying.”
It’s ridiculous that Stubbs thinks she can lecture and censor what the world’s best female player is allowed to say about her team in trophy ceremony speeches.
Hey Stubbsy, here’s my lecture: STFU!
Sabalenka is one of the best personalities we have in the sport today. She’s original, humorous, direct, unpredictable and she’s earned the right to speak her mind freely and without the monitoring and approval of Rennae Stubbs.
Maybe Stubbs has become so arrogant and full of herself that she’s now lobbying for a new job role: script writer for player interviews and award ceremony speeches.
Hey Stubbs, you owe Aryna Sabalenka an apology, immediately.

Scoop speaking of originals how about something on Brooksby? His autisim explains his unusual game and shot selection plus how heroic is comming out really -tell RFK he’s a spokesman on a comeback!!

Doug, Yes Brooksby is a unique talent, I even got to hang out and hit with him at Sarasota Open last year where he came as a guest, he’s friends of one of the owners, during a semi, we all hit mini tennis on a side court. His wrist was still a problem so he could only hit mini soft tennis but it was fun. I did’t sense he was autistic at all, maybe a very mild case of it or it’s a PR stunt for sympathy, absolutely seems totally normal guy. Will never forget Jimmy Arias saying Brooksby is his favorite player to watch because how he just keeps winning so many matches with seemingly flawed strokes and serve.
