Sinner Vague Explanation For Dismissing Team

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner dropped his trainer and physio on the eve of Wimbledon and was vague in explaining the reason for the sudden and surprising changes…

“What do I look for in people I work with? First and foremost, trust — both with me and the team. I’m inspired by my dad, a chef: in a kitchen, harmony is essential. That’s how I want to build my team.”

“Right now, we haven’t planned to bring in any new staff. It’s not the right time. I understand the timing may seem odd, but we worked hard before, so I won’t suffer from this decision now.”

“There’s no particular reason behind the changes. Nothing major happened. Sometimes you just need to do something different. I had a great run, including the Roland Garros final — a big goal no matter the result.”

“Will these changes affect me? No. This was decided a while ago. We’ve achieved a lot together, but I wanted to try something new. Now I’m curious to see what happens in London these next two weeks.”

“Mentally I feel great. I don’t dwell on the past — what’s done is done. In Halle I didn’t have much time to rest, but the level was high. Same here. I’m proud to be world No. 1 and ready to compete.”

Sorry, but Sinner is about as genuine as a pro-wrestling match. 🤼‍♂️
