Mannarino has been in a torrid slump as well, rivaling Zhang’s. And he’s a full-time singles player with good game. He just can’t seem to stop it. Without checking, i believe over 10 in a row and something like 17 of his last 20. His ranking is going to plummet shortly out of the top 100, i reckon.

Cory, Mannarino has not been the same since he won three straight 5 setters at AO vs Wawrinka, Munar and Shelton (then lost 60 60 63 to Djokovic). 2-19 after beating Tony Wu and James Duckworth right after AO. Looks like Mannarino has hit the wall yet somehow he is still ranked 31. He was at his career high at the end of 2023, 17 I believe.

On the more hopeful side – I watched Andreeva playing Iga and was impressed. She is very talented. She’s only 17 so a way to go but from what I’ve seen a serious prospect.

Iga sure was relieved and happy to escape Andreeva who should become a big champion but since she’s Russian I wonder if the establishment will allow her to reach her full potential.
