Questions Questions Questions?

Why is it always Zverev who gets forced to play until 2 am and never Sinner?

Why would Carlos announce he has a wrist injury to the whole world and pull out of the next Grand Slam a month later instead of desperately trying to heal, rehab and fix his supposedly hurt wrist? Why not wait until just a few days before the start of French Open to see how the supposed injury feels then and then make the call?

Why did Sabalenka play every ball the same speed vs Baptiste, stay two feet behind the baseline, under-utilize the slice backhand?

Sabalenka’s side of the story: “I had some opportunities and didn’t take them. I feel like she played very brave tennis in those match-point moments, and that made the difference. In Miami I didn’t give her many chances—she couldn’t break my serve. Here, in the first game of the second set, I made two double faults out of nowhere and felt that gave her confidence. From then on she started playing more aggressively. As I said, she played brave tennis. What can I say—well done.”

Carson Branstine invited herself to do Rennae Stubbs podcast, insisting it be live and unedited. Branstine wants to challenge the establishment. So why won’t Stubbs accept the challenge? Is it because when bullies fail to intimidate, they become intimidated?

Who will be the first pundit to say Blockx looks like Stefan Edberg?

Who will be the first to report Eliot Spizzirri is suffering from an elbow problem?

Will pro tennis be able to survive now that Morgan Riddle is no longer influencing on behalf of the sport?

Will Nick Kyrgios or Venus Williams ever win another match?

Andy Murray made it clear he wants to coach another player post Novak, why is there no interest in his services but Mike Russell, David Witt, Jay Berger and Sven Groenveld are always working as coaches?

Has Patrick Mouratoglou retired from coaching?

Why would Carlos announce he has a wrist injury to the whole world and pull out of the next Grand Slam a month later instead of desperately trying to heal . . . ? Why not wait . . . and then make the call?

Exactly what I’ve been thinking ever since I heard the shocking news, Scoop. Any ideas what’s really going on? Possibly a “silent ban” or something similar? 🧐

Sam, it’s ridiculous, there are some options. Silent ban… two month vacation (heard he said he will next play Queens and Wimbledon – not sure how he knows he will be ready then. Nike ordered the hiatus vacation. Tennis is really going bananas with some of these suspect subplots. Listening to Sinner talk about his rivalry with Carlos is the most boring script in the history of sports ) Imagine if McEnroe and Connors talked about each other like that.

Question: Why does the Wta allow flagrant anti Russian racism from Ukrainian players? Tennis fans go to sports to get away from political nonsense.

    Unless it’s a “scripted” injury. 😏

    Nike ordered the hiatus vacation.

Why on earth would Nike do that?

Do you think Sinner is a shoo-in to win Roland Garros?

Question: Why does the Wta allow flagrant anti Russian racism from Ukrainian players?

Probably because it’s politically correct. 😛

The French Open is boring to think about and talk about who will win. Even Stevie Wonder can see who they want to win. Carlos being sat out gives the spotlight and center stage to Sinner to be manufactured into a superstar which he is not. I think Vondrousova will negotiate a silent ban but suddenly start to lose to players she used to beat, like Iga always losing now to Coco who she used to dominate pre ban.
