Pickleball is outmarketing tennis

You, like me, are sick of the cliches that all players speak now. Over and over all we hear is congrats to your team, good luck the rest of the season, super excited with this win, you have a great team, blah blah blah. It’s all phony scripted baloney and it’s killing the sport. It’s making the most interesting one on one sport a boring fake impossibly ridiculously unwatchable yawnfest.

Pickleball is telling the truth and promoting the truth about how vicious and cutthroat that sport is.

There is a new docuseries coming out called Partners about the pro pickleball tour PPA and it’s far, FAR more interesting than pro tennis right now.

Here is a sneak peak at what these pro pickleball superstars are saying…

“On court we all just want to kill each other.”

“Everybody talks about each other. Everybody knows everybody’s shit.”

“Anna Leigh Waters makes three million dollars a year, she’s the goat. It’d be amazing if we could steal her sparkle.”

“You just called me a bitch???!!!”

“There’s so much behind the scenes. It’s like high school, there’s a lot of drama.”

“She once choke/strangled me. And the feeling is reciprocal.”

“She’s a low key psychopath.”

Yes, these are true quotes. This is how they talk about each other in the silly game of Pickleball. Imagine the true feelings and words and thoughts tennis players feel for their opponents and enemies and rivals – underneath the phony facades. But tennis completely hides this side of the mental and physical warfare.

It’s a hundred percent fake to suggest everybody in tennis gets along perfectly with each other. It’s fake, it’s insulting, it’s disgustingly false. Tennis needs to get real like pickleball in a hurry, before pickleball destroys tennis.

This is a warning, this is a wake up call. Tennis can’t afford to be fake anymore. The tennis Netflix series was a total failure because it was lousy PR fake rubbish. Pickleball is a vicious, ruthless, relentless threat and enemy which will take a mile not an inch. Pickleball is growing and must continue to grow and show profit margins and it will not hesitate to destroy the ATP and WTA and put them out of business. That’s how greed works, it’s human nature.

It is critically important now that tennis gets real, no more fake image Roger Federer, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Sinner, Sabalenka fake talk fake images. Tennis is more cutthroat than Pickleball which is a silly little cheap imitation of tennis but it’s succeeding because tennis is failing. Like how UFC capitalized on boxing’s failures to make the best fight the best. Tennis must get back to it’s roots and be real like it was with Connors, Mac, Nasty, Agassi, Rios, Lendl. Right now the best and most authentic characters are in Pickleball. I’d much rather see this Partners docuseries than the Sinner robot. It’s that good. Because tennis is not delivering truth to it’s fansbase. Tennis is giving it’s fans BS perfect images and scripted baloney.

I know avid tennis players and fans who actually can’t watch Sinner because he’s too boring.

Tennis, listen to me and listen good. Pickleball is winning the war because it’s real. Fakeness never wins, it always gets exposed sooner or later. Don’t insult your fanbase. Keep it real, or you will regret it forever.

I want Tracy Austin to be allowed to say again, “Tennis is a fist fight without the fists.”

I want to hear Jim Courier be free to say how he felt like stepping on an opponent’s throat during a match.

I want to hear Paul Haarhuis say Jim Courier tried to make every match personal.

Enough of the fake talk. Get real tennis, before it’s too late.
