The ATP World Tour Next Gen Finals will not be contested in Jeddah next year, because the Saudi Tennis Federation has decided to opt out of their five-year deal with the ATP Tour.
This year’s third edition will be the last one held in Jeddah. ATP is now accepting bids for 2026 and 2027.
Interesting options to stage the 2026 Next Gen Finals could be Madison Square Garden in NYC, Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, or the USTA National Tennis Center in Orlando, FL.
The innovative event competition for the highest ranked players of the year aged 20 years old and under made it’s debut in Milan, Italy in 2017, which was won by Korea’s Hyeon Chung.
The tournament does not distribute points for the ATP rankings for the competitors. The ATP does not count it as an official ATP World Tour tournament victory, but matches count towards official win–loss season record. Prize money worth US $2,275,000 is distributed and counts to the players’ totals. From the beginning, the tournament has incorporated new and experimental features that may or may not be introduced into other tennis events in the future such as the implementation of electronic line-calling (so called ‘Hawk-Eye Live’ completely replacing human line-judges) back in 2017. Other experimental features include scoring systems different from recognized tennis matches (sets to 4 not 6), and players communicating with their coaches via headphones
Joao Fonseca won the 2024 Next Gen title by beating Learner Tien 24 43 (10-8) 40 42.

No but I recommend Key Biscayne Crandon Park turn into a temporary tennis homeless shelter next late Nov. Would love to see pro tennis back on Key Biscayne.

It’s hard to believe Key Biscayne has not made a move to bring in high level pro or even junior tennis.
