Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 3 Review

The best tennis shoe I ever wore in terms of comfort, movement, court grip, and appearance.

Mizuno describes it’s shoe: “Power, speed and stability. All you need in a Men’s tennis court shoe, balanced perfectly to bring the advantage to your side of the court, permanently. Featuring Mizuno Wave technology for the ultimate in ankle protection, complete with D-Flex Groove and SR-Touch to offer actively agile movements and high-velocity acceleration. 6-month outsole warranty available.”

Many tennis shoes feel clunky, heavy, with some unnecessary bulk which can cause one to stumble on court. But these Mizuno feel perfect, sleek, they make you feel like a cheetah barefoot chasing it’s prey. There is absolutely no extra bulk, clunk or handicap with this shoe. Just pure speed.

So how did Mizuno do it?

KEY FEATURES:

  • POWNCE: Power + Bounce = PoWnCe.  Cushioning performance is the same as ap+, but it’s 10% lighter.
  • SR TOUCH: Shock absorbing mid-sole. Advanced cushioning material that is lighter, absorbs shock, and keeps the transition smooth and fast.
  • D-Flex Groove: Diagonal flexible groove. A diagonal groove in the mid foot area allows the player to turn at maximum speed and power by efficiently transferring natural body movement and shift in direction.
  • 3D-Solid: A unique upper providing the highest level of softness and durability, while maintaining breathability.
  • MIZUNO WAVE┬«: The Mizuno Wave┬« plate disperses energy from impact to a broader area providing a stable platform and a superior cushioning.

There’s a reason why Mizuno is the most popular, most used shoe in the ATP and WTA.

Do yourself a favor. Try Mizuno as your next tennis shoe. Or next ten like I will. I got my white red and blue Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 3s from www.tenniswarehouse.com for $89.99 and I’ve never been happier with the performance and look of a tennis shoe in my tennis playing life.
