There’s programming for example, at high school in my strong math school i was top 3, i earned money with it, i went on to study in a different field, by now a young white female programmer (there are no indians and asians here so i have to go with the white female)would kick my behind at it, i could get into it again but i don’t need it cause i’m doing things that require less boring brain work and more wisdom… So if i need to get some programming done i just hire someone, often even i could do the job myself, just to save time. And add to that that in recent years the democrats have been undermining everything important for a nation, education, religion, justice and law enforcement, they’re even attacking the history of the country, imo it’s lame when they attack the confederate flag but lately they even have problems with the star-sprangled banner anthem? So obviously i would vote for Trump, especially after these riots.

About the political issues, lots of thoughts in my head, i could write a book, anyway, some things i feel strongly about, and ofc this is just my very humble opinion.

These are hard times everywhere. In the USA election times, this virus thing was unlucky too. However, everywhere you look there are problems, in Italy migration, bad economy, in my country corruption, etc.

It’s just bad when old friends, teams, quarrel, break up over bs like politics, ofc people can get carried away when discussing politics but let’s not throw things like “racist, white supremacist” at each other’s head. A favourite example of mine, i read all kinds of sites cause i like to be well-informed, on the biggest ws site for example when a half white half chinese guy wanted to join they said he wouldn’t fit it. It’s pure bs, these people are whining nonstop they don’t have money for their radio, for this and that but they don’t let a potentially useful member join just cause he’s half Chinese. You see what i mean, they are stupid who won’t get anywhere…. No one on this site resembles those people. Right wing christian people are always inclusive. Also don’t forget this site is a business for Scoop, why scare away new readers by calling each other silly names.

This year will be over, tennis comes back and everything gets back to normal, i hope Catherine and the others will calm down too and we can have nice chats about tennis or whatever… like deep state 😀 😛 BTW!!! In other news . . .

I just learned that John Isner had the guts to condemn all the rioting and looting going on in the U.S. (see his Twitter feed). He didn’t mince his words either. So, he condemned the murder of Floyd AND the resulting violence. Very impressive.

Also, I was surprised to hear about Federer being out for the rest of year. Could something else be going on perhaps?

They don’t make contests like those anymore cause most of the real people left and there are just a bunch of bad trolls, fakers, etc left..

They got hacked on vBulletin 3 so had to reset all the passwords.

The problem with them is that they’re not updating (and applying the security patches).

Last year they switched to xenforo because the old version of php became unsupported. They made a custom theme to be able to put more ads on the site but then stopped updating (again) because then they would have to update their templates every time. They won’t do that cause they fired most of their tech team because they got in deep debt. Torstar, their majority owner got bailed out by the canadian government before, last year they had to shut down one of their newspapers, this may? i think they got bought by someone else, but they will just generate losses, so their future is quite dark.

With TD it’s very different, we’re updating everything, get the best for the site, i’m updating server scripts all the time.

About the ownership, Betty is the owner cause she was the tennis player, to avoid what happened to tennis4you (Scott the owner closed it down because he has 3 kids and lots of work and stopped caring) we said that if we don’t wanna do it anymore cause we get busy with kids or whatever we just give the site to whoever wants to run it for free but hopefully that won’t happen cause we’re very enthusiastic and have very long term plans.

Actually it’s very easy to sort fakes out.

If you’re curious why mtf became a pile of trash, it’s because fakes disrupted cool event, chat threads and the rules are so bad there that fakers cannot be ditched fast enough, real people just moved to fb where fakes can be blocked. On TD this is not a problem, we get rid of fakers.
