Free Sharapova

ccThe ITF is supposedly considering the appeal of Maria Sharapova of her two year ban for using an illegal performance-enhancing drug and because of her good standing and because it’s a first time violation there is speculation that the ban could be reduced to a retroactive six months. I say stop the persecution of a tennis icon and free Sharapova from the dungeon of being denied her job of playing tennis. It does seem like a witch hunt persecution in my opinion. Roy Jones tested positive for using steroids after his fight with Richard Hall and got nothing but a slap on the wrist – no fines and no suspension and barely a squeak from the media. Floyd Mayweather was caught taking an illegal IV the day before his fight with Manny Pacquiao last year and this commonly used method of professional athletes of taking the IV to mask drug use was totally ignored by boxing authorities. No fine and no suspension and no mention at all by the mainstream media. So here we have Sharapova being punished like a villain and it’s just not fair or just compared to certain other very athletes who basically got out of jail free. I can tell you that I have heard stories about absolutely gigantic tennis superstars using drugs – from inside sources who worked for major sponsoring companies – but these examples were never outed publicly and because these stars are so massively popular and vital to tennis they never ever will be outed. Yet for some reason Maria Sharapova is being made an example of. Is it because she’s a white Russian? Is it because somebody or some unscrupulous political entity wants some of the money of the richest woman in professional sports? A former world no 1 player once said in a press conference that if Agassi or Sampras ever tested positive for steroids the fans and media would never know about it because those two players were too important to the business side of tennis. Another former no 1 doubles player also said in a quote that was published in Sports Illustrated that he had heard of cases of the ITF covering up positive drug tests. Okay – we pretty much know monkey business is a part of major sports and it’s most likely a part of professional tennis politics. Maria Sharapova is an icon of tennis history. I think I speak for most fans that they all want to see her play again and soon. I was actually a little bored with watching Sharapova the last couple of years but now suddenly because of this controversy and the aspect of injustice and unfairness of it all I now want to see her play tennis again. So I say Free Sharapova. – Scoop Malinowski

No way. Sharapova got caught taking a banned drug. She never listed on her supplement plan. She benefited from 10 years of using this PED. Then she made up an absurd lie that she was taking the drug for asthma or something like that when all her fellow Russian athletes were taking it for performance enhancement. Heck, the whole Russian track team just got bounced from the Olympics, why should tennis show leniency to Maria?

At the USO ask me to give you a primer as to how the TADP works — what parties are responsible for doing what so that you don’t write non-sensical posts.

    Cheers !

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 19, 2016 at 6:21 pm

Why did boxing show leniency to Roy Jones and Floyd mayweather – Why was Serena able to duck that drug test at her house and hide in her panic room – Why did Serena chase down that robber in that you tube video and not hide inside the restaurant? I say Free Sharapova – Look at some of the bodies and muscles and shoulders of some of the other female players – look at how some of the bodies have changed – You tellin me Sharapova is the ONLY one using a PED? Which she only used illegally for less than a year as it was legal for nine of the last ten years – I believe Sharapova is being witch hunted down because she’s ultra wealthy and perhaps white and Russian – I believe Serena was able to duck that drug test because she is of a certain protected racial profile in USA – Yes black on white crime in the USA is largely covered up and swept under the carpet by our media but white on black crimes are turned into “historical events” –

  • Mat4 · June 19, 2016 at 7:03 pm

    @Scoop:

Since the OG of Sochi the campaign against Russian sportsmen started. Sport has become years ago just a part of broader geostrategic games.

Meldonium wasn’t banned because it’s a PED, but because Russian athletes used it, and it was a convenient drug that can’t be cleared from the body for months. They could use it to protect their heart — it’s what this drug is used for.

Just like Scoop wrote, it’s a question of double standards.

  • Dan Markowitz · June 19, 2016 at 11:15 pm

Oh you kidding me, black on white crimes are “covered up?” We love in America to stoke the fear of black men. That’s why like 1/4 of all black men are in jails. We’re terrified of black men or men of any color, especially when they commit hate crimes. Please don’t go into the area of blacks getting a fairer deal in this country. I don’t know, when I walk into ghettos in places like Port Chester, Bridgeport, the Bronx and Harlem, I see pretty much only people of color in them. When I walk into Scarsdale, Rye, Westport and Bronxville, I don’t see a person of color except for some Asian people.

  • Michael · June 19, 2016 at 11:37 pm

    Scoop:

ITF can only reduce the 2 years (at most by three quarters down to 6 months) if Pova gives up another player per ITF Doping Rule 10.6.1. Post CAS decision ITF would need WADA’s OK to do this.

WADA can reduce it even after the CAS decision including (in exceptional circumstances) down to no suspension if it thinks an athlete gave it really good info to get other athletes.

If ITF acts on this rule to reduce her suspension then WADA may appeal.

The comments to the rule explain the rationale for it:

“The cooperation of Athletes, Athlete Support
Personnel and other Persons who acknowledge their mistakes and are willing to bring other anti-doping rule violations to light is important to clean sport”

The comments also make it clear:

“This is the only circumstance under the Code where the suspension of an otherwise applicable period of Ineligibility is authorized”

ITF can’t just decide to reduce it for other reasons (e.g., because some boxing ADO didn’t do anything in the case of boxer X or Serena ran into her safe room).

If ITF went off the rails, WADA would just appeal and you would be at the same place anyway. The same CAS hearing but with WADA presenting the case instead of ITF. (And presumably the ITF explaining to everyone why it ignored it’s own doping code.)

WADA is in a sense looking over the shoulders of any anti-doping organization that decides it wants to be “WADA-compliant” (in this case the ITF because it runs the tennis anti-doping program) and if WADA thinks the ADO isn’t acting in accordance with the evidence and the doping rules then it may appeal to CAS.

CAS can do what it wants with Pova. 2 years or no years. CAS hears the case anew: it can review the law and the facts, hear new issues/evidence. It can ignore all or part of the ITF Tribunal’s decision. Whatever it wants.

On the WADA sucks (it may) and Meldonium is not a PED (beats me) issues, I defer to people more knowledgeable than I.

I only point out (1) being a PED is not a requirement to make it on to the Prohibited List and (2) while I’m new to this, I have been following along a bit with the Pova case and I have not become aware of any case where CAS entertained arguments that a substance was improperly put on the Prohibited List. That seems to be a matter strictly between WADA and it’s various stakeholders.

PS, forgive me for not responding directly to your actual ranting/post. If I didn’t know the author I might think it was intended to be taken seriously.

  • Michael · June 19, 2016 at 11:51 pm

OK, just on one point because the rest of it is some pretty crazy shite:

@scoop “Which she only used illegally for less than a year as it was legal for nine of the last ten year”

First, it’s not “illegal.” It’s a WADA prohibited drug. In the US it’s not FDA approved. However, it is NOT a controlled substance. If and on what basis she imported it for personal use is another issue.

It has only been a WADA prohibited drug since 1 Jan 2016 so only from Jan 1 was taking it an anti-doping violation.

(It was put on the 2015 trial list back in Sept 2014 and it was put on the prohibited list Sept 2015 to take effect 1 Jan 2016.)

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 20, 2016 at 7:15 am

Dan the crime stats of blacks is outrageous and that’s why there are so many blacks in jail – not because of an anti black system GTFO with that – black on white crimes and rapes are covered up – you never hear about the most hideous ones – but any time a white on black crime happens (even if it’s fabricated) you hear about it 24-7 on TV and it gets turned into a historical event – Trayvon martin was an aggressive thug and he was asking and deserved to be subdued by force – same thing with that giant thug who beat up the store owner and came at the cop who had no choice but to shoot – then the media sided with the black thug giant and the demonized the cop for not waiting for the thug to take his gun and kill him and perhaps more people –

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 20, 2016 at 7:27 am

michael: We all know rules are stretched for the marquee players in tennis and other sports – not always but they are – In my opinion this case looks like a witch hunt to bring down Sharapova – like I said: I have heard some incredible things off the record about more prominent players by some very inside people who had zero reason to lie – I have no doubt certain players are protected as the Rios and Bjorkman published quotes verify – Why Sharapova is not being protected is curious and suspicious —

  • Dan Markowitz · June 20, 2016 at 9:26 am

I’m surprised there aren’t more black on white crimes. Do you know the history of this country? How black men were lynched in public by white men up til the 1960’s. Now white men were lynched too, but not nearly as much as black men. The Tuskegee Institute has recorded 3,446 blacks and 1,297 whites being lynched between 1882 and 1968.

Now let me ask you another question, if you lived your life in a ghetto, had bad schooling, little chance of succeeding in life because you’ve basically been deserted by your country, wouldn’t you also harbor resentment for your country and the white folk who are mostly prospering? I’m not saying it’s reason to commit crimes, but I think blacks have systematically faced severe racism even today to a large degree, so the inclination to fight back is very understandable in my mind.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 20, 2016 at 9:41 am

Dan there are a ton of black on white crimes assaults and rapes but our controlled media doesn’t report it as it does not fit the agenda which is anti white – in the old days if a black person raped a white woman and the law was lynching then the lynchings were deserved – it was a different time back then but I don’t think every or any of the lynched blacks were innocent victims of racial hatred – cause and effect is usually why extreme measures need to be taken – Blacks have it very very good in this country – even Ali said “I’d rather be a black man living in American than back in Africa living in a mud hut” – Im just getting tired of the media telling me and all whites that we are racist – Shut up already – look at all the whites who buy tickets for and support the NBA and other black sports – Very few whites are racist and I don’t know any – Blacks and Jews and other minority races can start groups and unite but if whites ever show nationalism or unity in a group the damned media instantly calls us racist – Tired of it – This is why Trump is so popular – whites are tired of it – the media tried to destroy Trump for over a year but they failed and only made him stronger – Trump is the ONLY man in history the media failed to destroy – I believe Sharapova is being witch hunted because in part she’s white and Christian – Serena did the same think Troicki did – duck a drug test – Troicki was banned for almost a year and Serena got away with it free – That’s black privileve in action my friend –

  • Dan Markowitz · June 20, 2016 at 10:50 am

You don’t know any racists, look no further than the Republican nominee for President, Donald Trump, who is a class A racist. Look at his comment during a speech recently, when he referred to a black man in the crowd as “my African-American.” Some white people in this country have gotten past the desire to own black people, have them as slaves, but most white people in the USA still want blacks to be subservient to them.

Yes, there’s been progress in the sporting world, where whites (how many blacks did you see sitting in the curtsied seats at Oracle Arena last night in Oakland, which has a large black community, for Game 7 of the NBA Finals, will buy tickets to NBA games and NFL games and watch the games on TV, where most of the players are black. But that doesn’t mean racism doesn’t exist in this country and it isn’t still a very strong feeling.

You and I live in different America’s. Too many whites still have that spooky fear of black men raping white women. But blacks have been repressed in this country in the same way Aborigines are repressed in Australia. We just confine blacks mostly to inner-city ghettos while Aborigines are primarily sequestered in the dead center of the country.

I’ve been living in suburbs of New York for most of my life and I haven’t seen too many more blacks moving into these suburbs and buying houses than I did back in the 1970’s. Don’t kid yourself, down-and-out whites are flocking to Trump because they want a scapegoat for their hard times and those scapegoats are blacks, Mexicans, Dominicans, Muslims, any group that doesn’t look like them.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 20, 2016 at 12:17 pm

Nonsense – Trump has done nothing racist ever in his career – you twist his words because you want him to be a racist – The media/establishment hates Trump because they cant control him – So the media has tried to demonize Trump to be a racist to try to ruin his presidency – But the race card BS doesn’t work anymore – white people are tired of it – look at the anti Trump violence at the rallies (incited by the media) – Anti Trump violence equals anti white violence – there is a vast conspiracy to wreck all white nations by turning all white nations into multi cultural easy to be controlled nations – Yet israel wants to stay pure for jews only which is racist / israel needs diversity too – Everybody wants to flock to live in white nations – why so Dan? If white people are so bad why do so many non whites want to flock to live in white nations? I like how you didn’t answer my question about Serena being allowed to duck her test while Troicki was banished for doing the exact same thing –

  • Mat4 · June 20, 2016 at 1:35 pm

Anyway, Scoop, the whole Sharapova case looks like a set-up.

Her team didn’t know she took Meldonium? No way. She took a medicament for the heart without the control of a doctor? No way either. They somehow missed to see it was on the prohibited list? No way. And even if she didn’t take it in January, she would still have tested positive.

  • Mat4 · June 20, 2016 at 1:48 pm

I remember Jelena Jankovic saying that working with Giles Reyes for a month she gained 13 pounds of muscles. How? I lifted weights in my youth — it’s probably possible, but extremely hard.

There are other players that look very suspicious, and that have changed “massively” in a short lap of time. French players have often spoken about their doubts — Escudé, Santoro (in an interview after his retirement, that was available for a time on welovetennis.fr), but they haven’t give names. Rocchus did and he had problems.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm

You see it the way I do Mat4 – it’s probably about $$$ – Sharapova has an awful lot and with her businesses she has a lot to lose – extortion is a word in our dictionaries for a reason – Bartoli’s case was very curious – just days before she was caught pardon retired she was talking about how hard she was training and looking forward to the next events – then suddenly quits out of nowhere – her body sure has changed a lot since her playing days – was she pushed out of the sport on a silent ban while able to keep her big title? Would not be shocked by that at all –

  • Mat4 · June 20, 2016 at 2:36 pm

    Scoop, a question:

why was the Noleslam ignored by the press? Is it also a question of endorsements? The French press wrote a lot about it. It’s officially, per the definition of the ITF, a Grand Slam.

  • Mat4 · June 20, 2016 at 2:39 pm

On tennis.com, espn, the emphasis is on a “career slam”. But he made 28 wins in a row, which is a record. He did it on three surfaces, which is also unprecedented. I know a few journalists who are big fans of Novak, who spoke in their podcast about that feat, but didn’t publish an article about it.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 20, 2016 at 3:00 pm

Mat4: for whatever reason(s) there is a resistance towards accepting Djokovic by the hardcore who I guess have a deep devotion to Federer – perhaps the Djokovic headlines don’t sell as well as Fed or Andy – it’s all rather strange but we know darn silly and controlled the media can be – Lennox Lewis was dumped on by the media for almost a decade because the establishment and the lapdog media wanted to promote Holyfield Tyson Bowe instead – Lewis was frozen out for years and then finally got his shot at Holyfield in 99 at age 33 and beat Holyfield after a robbery draw in NYC and then Lewis destroyed Tyson in 2002 – only then – a decade after his key career win (in 92 vs Razor Ruddock by KO 2) did Lewis finally begin to get the universal respect and acceptance by the media and fans -The Klitschkos has to endure a similar biased media for about a decade – I believe Djokovic is a victim of a media bias and agenda like Lennox Lewis and the Klitschkos and Bernard Hopkins to name a few –

  • Mat4 · June 20, 2016 at 3:05 pm

    Scoop,

At least I watched all this matches.

BTW, I would penalize more heavily boxers abusing of clinch. When I watch Ray Sugar Robinson, he almost never did it. Now, boxers like Klitschko avoid infighting. What’s your take on this?

  • Mat4 · June 20, 2016 at 3:08 pm

But to tell the truth, I prefered Calzaghe to Hopkins, and Marvelous Marvin Hagler to Ray Sugar Leonard (which seems counter intuitive).

  • Andrew Miller · June 20, 2016 at 3:57 pm

Sure, Sharapova got a tough sentence. I’m sure it will be right-sized and she’ll end up like Cilic.

I think some players are sore, like Dommie Cibulkova. I attribute most of that to jealousy.

Sharpie’s being made as an example – don’t dope. Follow the drug guidelines. The penalty falls on you if you don’t. I don’t think it’s completely unmerited – harsh, but not unmerited.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 20, 2016 at 9:17 pm

Yes Klitschko definitely avoided the rough stuff and wanted to limit head shots to preserve his health and brain in later post career years – which is understandable after seeing what happened to the great muhammad ali – But Klitschko has shown incredible greatness by beating everyone and making the division appear weak which is not so – the HWT division is always fiercely competitive however the perceptions of the hwt division by fans and media fluctuates – Klitschko was a scientific intelligent boxer with power punches – his style worked though he had some boring bad fights especially when the opponent was psyched out and tried only to survive being knocked out – The american media misportrayed the Klitschkos negatively – they should have celebrated their incredible story of two brothers ruling the sport with one brother bouncing back after two crushing KO losses –

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 20, 2016 at 9:19 pm

Sugar Ray Robinson was actually a protected fighter who avoided boxers with good jabs – his trainer confessed this to Emanuel Steward who years later told me about it – The Klitschkos and Lewis and Hopkins never avoided any fighter and were forced by politics to fight the beasts and tricky styles which could make even the best boxers look like they were having a bad night –

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 20, 2016 at 9:21 pm

It’s funny how it works and how we choose our favorites – I loved Duran vs Leonard but then later loved and rooted for Leonard to beat Hagler 🙂 Calzaghe was great just as great as Hopkins – what a great fight they had –

  • Dan Markowitz · June 21, 2016 at 4:47 am

Scoop, there’s no such thing anymore I don’t think as “white nations.” I grew up in America when it was mostly a white nation, or at least my father did, where the Bronx was full of Jews, Italians and Irish. Now the Bronx is mostly Hispanic. My son goes to a school in White Plains which is mostly Hispanic. My wife is Asian.

I’ve never been to Israel, but I imagine if I walked down a street in Tel Aviv, I’d see plenty of people of color. I remember being in Gothenberg, Sweden in 1982 and I was stunned when I saw mulatto children following a black father and white mother because everyone else was so white. But I returned to Stockholm in 2000 and there were many more people of color walking the streets.

What Trump and it seems you don’t want to acknowledge is that it’s not only a white people’s world now. We can’t go back even if we wanted to. People of color and whites are going to have to live together and make it work. That’s why Trump’s anti-Mexican and anti-Muslim comments bother so many people.

  • sharoten · June 21, 2016 at 5:23 am

Scoop, your posts from yesterday afternoon are some of the ugliest, most racist, most bigoted garbage I’ve seen posted anywhere, let alone on this site. Why don’t you crawl back in your hole where you belong and just stay there. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

And Dan, good on you for at least trying to talk some sense but racists like Scoop (and Trump) are beyond redemption I fear.

Scoop, just FYI, your fellow whites are the most heinous mass shooting murderers in the U.S. Since 1982 they have been involved in 47 incidents and killed 561 people and wounded 628 more. The blacks you fear so much have been responsible for only 12 incidents, killing 116 and wounding 94. Muslims, who your supreme leader racist Trump wants to racially profile and ban from the country have perpetrated 4, killing 81 and wounding 106. (Asian shooters 6 incidents, 72 killed, 31 wounded). Whites shot more people in mass murders than Muslims by a ratio of 7:1 so get out of here with your crap.

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 21, 2016 at 8:43 am

There is a deliberate scheme to flood white nations with non whites and make the whites the minority – it’s a fact and it’s white genocide – Israel is for Jews only – nobody else – hypocrisy — Trump: We need to profile Muslims – like Israel does

In wake of Orlando nightclub massacre, GOP nominee calls for heightened scrutiny of Muslims, pointing to Israel as ‘successful example’.

    June 20, 2016

[Israel is extremely red-faced after that comment!]

Speaking over the phone to “Face the Nation” on CBS Sunday morning, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump called for increased scrutiny of Muslims in the US following a terror shooting in an Orlando nightclub that left 49 dead and 53 wounded.

While prominent Democrats, including President Obama, have called for stricter gun laws after the massacre, Trump argued the US needs to improve its tracking of potential terrorists, citing Israel as a “successful” example.

Blaming what he characterized as “political correctness” for the failure of law enforcement authorities to investigate radical mosques, Trump said that profiling Muslims, while unpleasant, may be necessary.

“I think profiling is something that we’re going to have to start thinking about as a country,” Trump said, noting that “other countries do it”, highlighting the example of Israel.

“[Y]ou look at Israel and you look at others, and they do it. And they do it successfully.”

“I hate the concept of profiling. But we have to start using common sense, and we have to use — we have to use our heads.”

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 21, 2016 at 8:48 am

sharoten I know what’s going on in this world – you may follow the media propoganda I get the truth – it’s an all out attack on white nations and white people though it’s undercover and sneaky – This is why Trump is resonating and connecting with so many whites who are now awakening just like white people are awakening to what’s happening to their nations in Germany Sweden etc – And this is why the media and the establishment hate Trump so much – they fear the backlash of the awakened whites – We live in very interesting times – I don’t buy any of your cockamamie statistics which downplay black violence and attempt to demonize white people and white violence – If you want to read this tennis site you’re welcome – if not be my guest to leave – I’m not budging off this because I KNOW THE TRUTH – politics and tennis do mix at times and nothing is off limits here – I believe Sharapova is being set up and railroaded and I’m going to say it –

All I can say is I’m very sorry for Scoop’s posts of venom over the last few days. There is an ugliness in this country being spread by Scoop and others, mostly the Republican Party’s nominee, Mr. Trump, regarding this nonsense (in my opinion) of making “America Great Again,” which is code for keeping minorities down and out of this country.

I know Scoop mostly as a tennis journalist and I think his knowledge of the game is very strong and varied, but his views on politics and his open hatred for people he views are ruining the United States, immigrants, Jews, blacks, Muslims, etc, is ugly and I don’t care to discuss this on a tennis web site anymore.

Is it always the gentiles fault? I want us all to get along and share the world not just one tiny minority of people trying to control everything as it’s outlined in the hateful talmud which is anti all non jews – any one who supports the talmud is a racist nut – I hope Trump can make America great again and put Americans first ahead of israel and illegal I repeat ILLEGAL violent muslim and mexican immigrants –

Agree with Sharoten/Dan/Michael/Harold. What happened to the blog.

Yes, the remarks above are indeed awful and untrue, and quite disgraceful. For a solid and passionate author like Scoop, I’m shocked at the venom and misplaced outrage. For someone who roots for under-dogs, this is akin to destroying the dogs.

I don’t think there’s anything to be proud of here. I’d hope in a weak or month that some sort of apology is issued. I don’t want to go into the alternative – no readers, no interviews from players – your well earned reputation in the Bud Collins tradition will be torpedoed. You can’t respond with more venom, you need to apologize.

  • sharoten · June 22, 2016 at 2:08 pm

Apologies mean nothing if they don’t come from a place of sincerity. As long as Scoop continues to hold such racist, anti-semetic, bigoted views, an apology is just empty words.

Wait – I am not against minorities or other races – how the hell am I getting slandered with that? my girlfriend is Chinese – I have great friends of all races and religions – just played three sets yesterday with a black friend on red clayin Tenafy – my problem is with the intentional flooding of USA and other Euro white nations with ILLEGAL mexicans and muslims and refugees (many of which are criminals) who are making our country UNSAFE with violence attacks and rapes of women which the media underscores or ignores to protect it’s agenda – this stuff is happening it really is widescale – How the hell am I being called a KKK racist because of being against that? Obviously we have different sources where we get our news info – I read a lot of international and alternative media – We have a serious problem in USA which is being allowed to happen by the current adm to create disorder and chaos and division which makes it easier to control the population – I resent being labeled a racist and will not apologize regarding that because I am not a racist – Just very tired of whites always being branded the bad guys and responsible for all the problems of america and for standing up against the chaos that is happening – What I do regret is that this debate has escalated and turned into a sort bench clearing brawl of chaos – I truly believe I deserve an apology for being slandered as a racist but of course don’t expect it to happen on a forum like this – I wish everyone the best of luck and joy especially tennis people – tennis is better than religion as it brings all different kinds of people together – like the anecdote I told years ago about the tennis friends doubles group who all went out to lunch after two hours of doubles and five minutes into the lunch one guy brings up religion and politics and everyone started fighting – tennis brings people together and politics and religion divide us – I am sorry that this happened to us here – but still I hope that tennis can keep us together and the politics and religion part will work out and I will vow to not bring that into the equation again if you readers don’t either – I think muhammad Ali had the greatest quote: “I wish the people of the world would all love each other as much they love me” – I wish the same thing for everyone – I wish we can all get along and respect and no group try to put itself on top of everyone else because that always provokes resistance anger and animosity – we are all people –

Thanks Dan for the kind words – Like I said in our phone conversation today I consider Dan a great friend and he is a great friend – I love to see Dan and spend time together he is a great guy – truly – I say this despite that we have butted heads a few times regarding politics and religion but we have the common bond of tennis and a very long friendship – I also like Harold a lot too even though we have butted heads on this stuff in the past but then I saw him at the Open and we smiled about it and gave a hug – we are living in a wacky crazy world right now – everything is upside down – it’s hard not to get sucked into caring about the future of your country when the powers that be are trying so hard to divide and conquer us – Anybody who loves tennis is a friend of mine despite politics and religion –

Too bad. I really like coming to your site. Now it is time to end this. Scoop, that is nonsense. I have lived – not visited – lived on every continent. I have traveled to – who knows how many countries. I worked for the British Embassy for some 12 years, hear this – white people are privileged. This is not even a debatable point. Sharapova can burn and Serena can get away with it – the scales are still tipped. Wait…..I am not going to get into it.

Like Andrew and Harold, its been fun but goodbye.

Wow, such hateful talk about my religion and also my close African-American friends. Even though I’m a more recent follower of this site, I must say goodbye. It’s a shame because I had the attention of the Washington ATP 500 organizers (Citi, La-Guarde, etc), and had previously recommend this blog to them. After these reading these rants they were horrified. And so am I…

I respectfully disagree Rob – we have different sources of info and we have perspectives –

  • Scoop Malinowski · June 26, 2016 at 8:27 am

Sir: What is written in the talmud about non jews is far FAR more hateful than what I wrote – i have no hate for blacks but what I hate is injustice and violence and evil and in the USA I am allowed to express that – it’s called freedom of speech –

Scoop I heard you had created a stir w/ some off-topic comments re minorities subsuming the white race in America. So I went and read most of your comments – you’re dead on. You got a bro here, know that you have a like-minded friend regarding whites here. And BTW, my wife is Latina – but a FULLY ASSIMILATED Latina – and that is the key – too many immigrants come here and import their culture, customs, language, etc….and reject what America is really all about.
