Scoops: Malisse beat Falla, 63 63, he’s now 4-0 vs. the lefty from Colombia. Falla was coached by Ramon Delgado.

Harrison was playing a practice set with Lu.

Sock was hitting with Ben Becker, who had no coach or cronies with him. Sock was with the USTA’s Jay Berger.

I did a Biofile with Bjorn Phau who plays F-Lo today. Phau has a 1-0 career record vs. Federer, beating him in the Washington DC heat in 1999.

Tim Smyczek survived a wild three setter with Kudla to make main draw. Tim did a Biofile with me after the match and it was a fantastic Biofile which I will post here soon.

Jimmy Arias and Leif Shiras are here already covering for Tennis Channel. Maylene Ramey is here for another web site outlet.

Dolgopolov lead Dodig 3-0 but lost the match 36 36. Dolgo did not look good last night, His coach Jack Reader was not present.

Querrey defeated Michael Russell last night with Iron Mike forced to retire with some kind of back or hamstring injury at 2-6 2-2 in the second.

Thanks for the inside scoop on Delray! Phau won that one in ’99 against Fed but Roger’s gotten him 3 times since then 🙂

Thanks Jesse for the clarification. Phau lost today to Berankis, lucky loser for Lopez.
