Coco Praises Jesus Christ In Madrid

Something extremely rare happened at the Madrid tournament this week. A prominent player actually had the courage and guts to praise Jesus Christ in a post match on court interview.

Coco Gauff did it after losing to Aryna Sabalenka in Madrid final. “I’d like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be here and the opportunity to play in the final. I’d like to congratulate Aryna on an incredible tournament. You’re always tough to face. Congrats to your team. The last… well you’re always doing well but the last four straight finals I think. Congrats on all the success you’ve been having.”

Though many players openly wear a cross on court in their professional matches – Novak Djokovic, Jacub Mensik, Marta Kostyuk, among others – very few dare to mention their religion or publicly praise God. The last player to do it in a high profile event was probably Michael Chang in the 1980s when he won the French Open. He was severely mocked and criticized by the media for doing it and stopped mentioning any religious references.

But Gauff has changed the script and once again it’s en vogue for a pro tennis player to praise Jesus Christ.

Scoop, while that may seem nice on the surface, when you learn that Coco was a big fan of Kamala Harris and also supports Black Lives Matters and gun control, then her display of religion in public comes across as kinda hollow: 😟

Sam, it’s possible her handlers manipulated her to support those causes and she’s breaking free from that control. If you’re right and she’s just a puppet for the left then she will be ripped.
