Carlos Defeats Djokovic At US Open

Carlos Alcaraz overpowered and conquered Novak Djokovic today in their US Open heavyweight semifinal clash of titans 64 76 62.

The stunning duel featured Carlos in the role of the spectacular bull vs the legendary, aging matador from Serbia. The bull had too much power in his forehand and serve for the matador to offset. Though he showed many flashes of his prime best, Djokovic played many sensational point but over the course of three sets, he did not have enough in his arsenal to subdue the world no. 2.

It appears conclusive now that the firepower and explosiveness of the bull are beyond what the matador can handle. Djokovic still leads the head to head series with Carlos by 5-3.

After the match, the conqueror had high praise for his challenger.

“I think everyone knows Novak as a player. What he does on court is unrepeatable, all the records. But above all, he is a wonderful person and he’s always there to help the young ones, everyone. And that really deserves admiration. He is such a wonderful person and that is what makes him great.”

Novak said he will play all the Grand Slams next year but concedes to beat Carlos and Sinner will be a very tall task.

Who will play for Serbia in the next Olympics?

Hejmedovic is my guess but Djokovic could still be the top Serbian, if he’s not a WC is probably as defending champion.

Very disappointing, but c’est la vie.

I wonder if he would’ve fared any better against Sinner? 🤔

Sam No I don’t think he would have beaten Sinner, not the way he looked losing to him at the previous Grand Slams.
