Carlos Alcaraz Wins US Open and Becomes No. 1

Considering what was at stake today for Carlos Alcaraz and Casper Ruud, it was to be expected the 2022 US Open final would not exhibit the highest quality level of pro tennis. Surely, the controversial absence of the banned real world no. 1 Novak Djokovic also left a void on this Grand Slam which today was won by the 19 year old Spaniard in four sets 64 26 76 63.

Alcaraz and Ruud both knew the victor today would not only win his first Grand Slam title but also the world no. 1 ranking (and the sponsor bonuses in the millions of dollars that go with it). Today’s contest was the the youngest US Open final since Pete Sampras defeated Andre Agassi in 1990 (today’s two finalists have a combined age of 42 years).

Alcaraz has now distinguished himself as a history maker. He will become the youngest world no. 1 in the history of the ATP rankings (since 1973) by making the biggest jump to the top ranking. On Monday, the humble dynamo will ascend three ranking slots from no. 4 to become the first teenager to reach the pinnacle of men’s tennis.

The win today accomplished some other notable distinctions for Carlito. He is the youngest Grand Slam champion since a 19-year-old Rafa Nadal won Roland Garros in 2005 (vs. Mariano Puerta), and the youngest US Open champ since a 19-year-old Sampras in 1990 (vs. Andre Agassi).

Ruud has now lost in two Grand Slam finals this year, earlier in Paris vs Nadal in three sets. One of Ruud’s highlights today was when he surrendered a point, calling himself on a double bounce on a key point. With that act, Ruud may have clinched the ATP Sportsmanship Award for 2022.

Now 0-3 career vs Alcazar, Ruud will rise to no. 2 in the ATP rankings, from his current position of no. 7.

No. 3 seeds Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova won the Women’s Doubles final in three sets vs unseeded Caty Mcnally and Taylor Townsend 36 75 61.

Quote of the Tournament: Cliff Drysdale, while talking to John McEnroe on ESPN, described the absence of Novak Djokovic at the US Open as ‘a shame … if not a crime.’

Notes: The 2022 US Open set two new all-time attendance records: main-draw attendance and combined main-draw and US Open Fan Week/Qualies attendance. A total of 776,120 fans came through the gates during the two weeks of the main draw to surpass the previous record of 737,872 set in 2019. The full, three-week attendance, including US Open Fan Week/Qualies, was 888,044. The previous three-week best of 853,227 was also set in 2019.

While Alcazar will begin his reign as the new ATP kingpin, several players announced their careers are finished, including Christina McHale, Sam Querrey, Bruno Soares and Gilles Simon.

The celebrity turnout today included Jerry Seinfeld, Debbie Gibson, Rick Astley, Jon Bon Jovi, Anne Hathaway and Christie Brinkley. Last year’s attendees Brad Pitt and Leonardo Di Caprio were not present at today’s final.

Djokovic has only himself to blame for forfeiting the GOAT race. He could have spent one second to get this miserable vaccine and then played in the US and Australia, which are run by evil leftists.

When you want to enter someone’s home and they tell you that you must remove your shoes, then you remove your shoes. You cannot go against the rules set by the ruling class when you go to their country. I had to get the vaccine for work, so I just did it to feed my family. I cannot change the system, and neither can Djokovic.

Doesn’t matter anyway, Alcaraz has already played Djokovic and has beaten him earlier this year.

George, Hope you did not suffer any effects from the shot. Djokovic decided body autonomy is more important than winning tennis titles. He refused to inject himself with the drug the corrupt nwo wants everyone to inject. Turns out he was right, the injection does not work and there is plenty of evidence it is a health risk to many who did take it, fortunately not everyone including you. Looking forward to the next Carlos vs Djokovic clash.

Sorry George, it’s simps like you (sorry, not sorry) that leads us to the gallows. You should never let any other man or woman tell you what to do with your property (your rights, your choices, your body, your health, are all subsets of your property). Anyone who thinks they have administrative rights to my property is going to be served an affidavit. This is how you deal with legal, 2-dimensional tyrants; you bring them to the world of men and women (common law), thru a document. I applaud Djokovic and i would encourage him to sue the USTA (or if it were some other legal body, then them) for discrimination. His health choices are his right, and he was discriminated against, for trying to use something that is provided to the public equally. If you say that the USTA is a private organization, i would challenge that and remind you that they are registered to the state and are thus actually not private, and the state’s discretion is limited & governed federally. Those rules prohibit discrimination.

I’m no Djokovic fanboy for the record, but this is clearly unjust both on a human level and on a tennis/competitive one. The real, already-proven #1 has been prevented from competing because other people want to inject experimental chemicals into his blood tissue. Think about that.

    Well said Cory.

  • George · September 12, 2022 at 6:13 pm

    Hey Cory,

Did I say I agreed with this leftist vaccine? These are the rules that exist in reality.

What is a lawsuit going to do? Give him extra money?? Can he go back in time to play at these grand slams?

I am simp because I took the vaccine rather than lose my job?

You are a whiny little faggot bitch. You wouldn’t win one game from me if we played asshole.

  • Scoop Malinowski · September 12, 2022 at 9:39 pm

George, well said also. Just happy that you are not bothered by that shot. One of my best friends is the most strict fitness nut I ever knew, won’t eat ANYTHING bad, no cheese, soda, cookie, not even pasta, total vegan freak. I was shocked when he told me he got the shot. He reads labels and any preservative, he won’t put into his body but he took the shot because he wanted to go to Indian Wells and travel. Luckily he had no effects, he’s so fit he would KO that poison shot anyway.

  • George · September 13, 2022 at 3:49 am

    Cory,

What do you think will be remembered more in history, Nadal being the all time leader in grand slams or Djokovic winning some lawsuit against the USTA?

Why would he win a lawsuit against the USTA anyway? The US government is the entity that prevented Djokovic from entering the country unvaccinated.

Do you think he will win a lawsuit against the US government? You are a stupid, f****ing retard. I can bet that you have never had children since you have no balls between your legs.

  • Cory · September 13, 2022 at 7:39 am

George, nobody can force you to do anything. You agreed to take it because you don’t know how to say no, legally or lawfully. That would indeed make you a compliant simp. There could be a gun to my head and i would still refuse, because i don’t negotiate with tyrants. I guess you do. To each their own.

Tough talk on the chatboards! Is there such a thing as an internet fight…um no.

    There is hope for Novak!
    From the ATPtour.com

Djokovic, who has qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals 14 times, is currently 15th in the Race. However, the Serbian is still in position to earn his spot at the Pala Alpitour.

Djokovic won Wimbledon this year, making him eligible for the Grand Slam winner rule. If there is one current-year major champion positioned between eighth and 20th in the Race, he qualifies in eighth place.

I didn’t know about this rule.

Forget it guys, this is what the puppetmasters want, divide and conquer. Tennis unites, let’s just forget the whole BS with the flu virus. Let’s stick to tennis. The deep state surely thinks they severely hurt Djokovic this year and they don’t expect him to be the force he was in 23 as he was in 21 and the limited time he played in 22. His uncle Goran said this week he asserts this whole thing is a blessing in disguise and the rest will extend Novak’s career. But he can’t know this, Novak could lose that fraction of everything, speed, timing, reflex, power and confidence at any time and it may happen this year or next month. We’ll see…

  • Cory · September 14, 2022 at 6:45 am

Funny how George questions others’ balls when he bent over like a good simp and did what he was told. But question my manhood…. got it. Since you’re already obedient – will u make me a sandwich?

Some people are stupid and can’t curb their egos… Stay triggered George. Time for another booster.

    US Open Notes:

Alcaraz: “I don’t want to take credit away from myself, but it’s true that Rafa, Djokovic, Federer, they were in a period when they were all playing. I had the luck or whatever you want to call it that Djokovic could not play.”

Novak Djokovic’s uncle Goran: “The ordeal he went through this year in Australia only extended his career. Instead of maybe retiring from tennis in three or four years, his career has been extended for five, or six years. He is resting his body.”

  • catherine · September 14, 2022 at 11:14 am

Apart from matches featuring Williams/Gauff I saw that viewing figures for the women’s matches were on average quite low.

This supports my view that many US viewers simply aren’t interested in, or do not know, European women players – and that includes Swiatek. How many casual fans could tell you who won Wimbledon ?

Maybe Raducanu could have changed that slightly but she’s not winning enough now.

Women’s tennis in a trough – the men’s game is simply looking a whole lot better. Solutions ? I’ve no idea.

  • Scoop Malinowski · September 14, 2022 at 5:05 pm

Catherine, did you know Mouratoglou pays Halep to be her coach? Sabalenka was just points away from the US Open final again then loses, Sabalenka does not move the needle at all in USA. Solutions? Clone Serena or find her the fountain of youth. Make Coco win a GS in 23 and then promote it like there’s no tomorrow. The WTA needs Emma because Osaka is done. Bibi is done. Kvitova Svitolina Ostapebko Kerber Rybakina Krejcikova Keys Sloane just don’t move any needles. Bouchard Emma do.

  • Winston Smith · September 17, 2022 at 1:24 pm

Haven’t seen much commentary or analysis on Alcaraz vs Tiafoe match.
I know a bit about tennis and saw some things in this match that “raised an eyebrow.”
I only watched sets 3-5, but saw enough…to know.
Interesting to listen to the McEnroe boys comment and try to spin…
2 things told me all I needed to know to confirm my line of thinking:
    1. Coach Juan Carlos Ferraro was not concerned at all at any point
    2. Tiafoe said something important to Alcaraz as they shook hands

    Pro wrestling anyone?
USTA: not everyone is a fool!

  • Scoop Malinowski · September 17, 2022 at 7:04 pm

Winston, some things are better left unsaid. I saw the majority of this match and it looked like Alcaraz was in total control, as in carrying Tiafoe to give the audience a great show which it was. The match accomplished two things, it built up the future star attraction and also now an American ticket seller. Alcaraz is another level, Tiafoe is close and it will be interesting to see where he goes from here, hopefully to top ten.

  • Winston Smith · September 17, 2022 at 8:25 pm

    Fair enough Scoop.
I enjoy your perspective and commentary.
The fans sure enjoyed the “show!”
I’m sure Tiafoe knew what was up, wonder what he said as they shook hands.
He clearly said something beyond the usual “great match.”
Hope the new #1 received a nice envelope for his part in the drama.
    Down we go…

  • Scoop Malinowski · September 18, 2022 at 8:37 am

Thanks Winston, I try to do it differently here, more honest. Won’t be joining the tennis establishment any time soon ) I think tennis learned a long time ago all those 61 61 Evert Navratilova first week GS win were not good for business or the show. Maybe Rublev took a dive for Foe.
