Brandon Nakashima’s Extensive Coaching List
4 Comments · Posted by Scoop Malinowski in Bios

Brandon Nakashima is laser focused on being the best player he can possibly be. Quietly, the San Diego 24 year old has achieved a stunning career already, reaching his current career high ranking of 29 and he has won an ATP singles title and over $6.9m in prize money.
The work horse baseliner is making all the right moves on and off the court to challenge and join the ATP elites. He has already beaten Sam Querrey, John Isner, Holger Rune (4-0 vs. the Dane), Juan Manuel Cerundolo, Jack Draper, Jiri Lehecka, Tommy Paul, Andrey Rublev, Taylor Fritz, Lorenzo Musetti, Frances Tiafoe, David Goffin.
Nakashima is not indecisive about his game, his ambition or about hiring or dismissing coaches. So far since turning pro in 2019, Nakashima has been associated with an extensive list of coach figures, including: Beau Treys, Pat Cash, Dusan Vemic, Eduardo Infantino, Franco Davin, Javier Garcia, David Sanguinetti, Duglas Cordero (fitness), Emilio Sanchez, Carlos Benatzky, Rick Leach, and currently Mariano Puerta, the former French Open runner-up. That’s 12 coaches in about five years and I may not have tracked them all.
It may be an unofficial record – 12 different coaches in one ATP career.

I guess with Nakashima, the hot topic is: “Who’s the coach du jour???” 😉

Different coach, same results for Nakashima. But he is gradually climbing the rankings. Another one of those big talents who may lack the burning desire obsession to be the best.

Well, maybe Nakashima actually needs a coach who can show him how to do some California Dreamin’. 😁

Sam, He is in California, he should pay Samrpas a visit and ask a lot of questions. Talk to an ex player who has won something big. He had Cash but that was shortlived.
