First Famous Player You Met Or Encountered: I can’t remember. No idea, to be honest.
Greatest Sports Moment: Probably winning my first round at the US Open (in 2016 and 2020).
Most Painful Moment: A few years ago I lost like four or five first rounds in a row. I didn’t want to play tennis anymore. But I kept on fighting.
Favorite Sports Outside Tennis: Basketball, football, soccer.
Three Athletes You Like To Watch & Follow: Roddick, well he’s retired now. Kobe Bryant. And Federer.
Strangest Match: In the second round of Sao Paulo Challenger I played Joao Souza, night match. Brazilian crowd. It was crazy. Like, little kids were flipping me off. It was a crazy, crazy moment. (Did you win that match?) I won that match 7-5 in the third [laughs]. It was amazing.
Embarrassing Career Memory: Three years ago in the Challenger in Las Vegas I was up 5-1, 40-15 and I lost thirteen straight games in a row. (Against who?) Trungeliti of Argentina.
Why Do You Love Tennis Oh, it’s a great sport. I love to compete out there by myself. And my whole family plays so that’s why I love it.
Favorite Meal: Tacos. I love tacos. Pork.
