First Tennis Memory: Probably have to be playing tennis across the street from my house when I was four or five years old. Me and my mom would go out every day and hit on the wall for like thirty minutes.

Tennis Inspirations: Andy Roddick – when he won US Open. That was very inspiring. To see an American win the US Open was very inspiring.

Last Book Read: I read a couple of books. But the last one – ‘We’ll Get Through This.

Current Car: BMW 3 Series (gray).

First Famous Player You Met Or Encountered: I can’t remember. No idea, to be honest.

Greatest Sports Moment: Probably winning my first round at the US Open (in 2016 and 2020).

Most Painful Moment: A few years ago I lost like four or five first rounds in a row. I didn’t want to play tennis anymore. But I kept on fighting.

Favorite Sports Outside Tennis: Basketball, football, soccer.

Three Athletes You Like To Watch & Follow: Roddick, well he’s retired now. Kobe Bryant. And Federer.

Strangest Match: In the second round of Sao Paulo Challenger I played Joao Souza, night match. Brazilian crowd. It was crazy. Like, little kids were flipping me off. It was a crazy, crazy moment. (Did you win that match?) I won that match 7-5 in the third [laughs]. It was amazing.

Embarrassing Career Memory: Three years ago in the Challenger in Las Vegas I was up 5-1, 40-15 and I lost thirteen straight games in a row. (Against who?) Trungeliti of Argentina.

Why Do You Love Tennis Oh, it’s a great sport. I love to compete out there by myself. And my whole family plays so that’s why I love it.

Favorite Meal: Tacos. I love tacos. Pork.

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: Chocolate. I love chocolate.

People Qualities Most Admired: Very humble. Very nice. Positive people.
