Alexander Zverev has finally conquered the ATP World Tour, the deep state, media agendas, liars & haters, rotten conspiracy, and tennis itself. Oh, and he beat Flavio Cobolli in five sets in today’s Roland Garros final 61 in the fifth after losing the fourth set tiebreaker.
It was an up and down match featuring systematic brilliant play mixed with action seemingly more suited to court 12 in the first week. But Zverev was the master in the end, finally fulfilling what we all knew he was capable of for so many years. He’s now a Grand Slam champion and Olympic gold medalist.
It’s always nice to see poetic justice happen and it has now in Paris for one of the most likable champions in professional tennis – if you happen to have had the chance to interview him one on one as I have you would know the truth – and the media misportrayal of him for about a decade was all fake news foul propaganda.
Just remember this: Zverev never assaulted anybody. The lying girl never went to the police, instead she waited about a year and told her phony story to the most rotten reporter of all.
The rotten anti Russian tennis deep state is enduring one of its worst weekends in history thanks to the brilliance of Mirra Andreeva yesterday and Zverev today. It has been a wonderful 2026 Roland Garros and now the stage is set for a thrilling Wimbledon.

He finally lived up to his arrogance in defeating a lower ranked player. Some flashes of brilliance from both players but also echoes of the shakey 2020 US Open final.

Did it seem they took it to five on purpose? Cobolli snatches fourth and then just does a walkabout in the fifth. Some nice tennis and then some sloppy play. Happy for Zverev, he deserved this years ago. Cobolli showed he’s a big time player now.

Yes!!! So happy for Zverev. He has had a great career so far, even if it hasn’t quite been an all time great player that I thought he would become. It’s really admirable that he has kept pushing and getting better after the rise of Sinner-Alcarez.
The MSM tried to derail him with the ridiculous ‘firestorm’ about what was clearly self depreciating joke of a well known stereotype, but they failed.
He did it and I really think no one deserves this more.

Matt, it really was wonderful to see this champion finally fulfill the dream. Even Sam Querrey wrote him off. ) A whole lotta people have egg on their faces. I know he’s had some explosions on court, but overall he’s been almost an impeccable sportsman through all the distractions and corruptions the establishment launched at him to derail his career. He is more marketable than Sinner by far.
