Vondrousova Faces Possible Four Year Ban

Former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova of Czech Republic has been charged with refusing doping test after ‘acute stress reaction’ and could potentially be slapped with a four-year ban.
Vondrousova’s legal team stated: “We are certain that once the full context is understood, her name will be cleared.”
If you remember, Serena Williams avoided a home drug test and was not banned.
Also you may remember Jannik Sinner tested positive not once but twice for Clostebol, an illegal PED and alleged masking agent drug, and was conveniently banned for less than than three months. Sinner did not miss any Grand Slam competitions during his banishment.
The 26 year old won Wimbledon in 2023 and made French Open finals 2019.
This year Vondrousova lost first round at Brisbane and withdrew from AO with a shoulder injury. This month she played doubles at Billie Jean King Cup but pulled out of Rouen this week. And now the news has broke that she missed the drug test.

Are you buying her excuse about being creeped out by the intruder-like vibes of the official who knocked on her door?

Not for a millisecond. I know somebody who knows her in Czech, she lives with a boyfriend so it wasn’t like she was all alone meek and scared. Anybody will say any excuses to avoid admitting wrong doing re peds.

That’s interesting—I think your interpretation is correct.
Do you think she’ll actually get a ban? 🤔

I predict she will negotiate a secret short ban and then be compromised and start losing to players she should be able to handle, like Iga who now loses to Coco every time post pan, though she beat her every time before ban.
