Venus Williams has also made more money from free handout wildcard entries than any other WTA PLAYER today.
The American tennis legend has asked for and received twelve wildcard entries for singles events in 2026.
No longer able to produce winning tennis, Venus was dismissed in the first round of every single tournament she tried to play in.
From those twelve defeats exits, Venus has banked an estimated $350,000 to $370,000 US dollars in prize money.
Her last WTA singles win was at the Mubadala Citi Open in July 2025, a curious win 63 64 vs fellow American Peyton Stearns, who may have already had one foot in at the Canadian Open. In the second round, Venus lost to Magdalena Frech 26 26. Since then Venus has lost to Bouzas Maneirao, Muchova, Linette, Maria, Danilovic, Tomljanovic, Parry, Jones, Quevedo, Begu, Potapova, Rakhimova, Arango and Kenin.
No 46 years old Venus has not announced any plans or target dates to retire which means that without any ranking in the WTA Tour, she could conceivably continue this wildcard grift for years to come.
How will Venus depart the sport? With a farewell tour? At US Open 2030? Without any announcement or fanfare?
At this rate, she may never retire.
