Uomo Sport and Brooksby Commanding Attention At US Open

Nike, adidas, Armani Exchange, Yoxoi, Asics, Fila, New Balance, Diadora, Head are prominently on display at US Open but so too is another brand thanks to the spectacular fourth round run by American 20 year old Jenson Brooksby.

While slaying Michael Ymer, Taylor Fritz, and Aslan Karatsev, Brooksby has been wearing some eye catching black and red outfits by Uomo Sport.

Since it seems highly probably we are going to be seeing a lot of Jenson Brooksby and his extraordinary fighting spirit and eclectic playing style in ATP arenas all over the world in the coming years, I decided to do some investigating on his stylish brand Uomo Sport.

A friend from the tennis world, coach Greg Bolitsky informed me that Uomo Sport was created by an American named Steve Siebert, originally from New Jersey and now based in Los Angeles, CA.

Siebert explained his inspiration for creating Uomo…

“I fell in love with tennis early in life, with a keen eye on the players’ incredible style and personality on the courts—players from all over the world who carried the elegant tradition of the sport with their clothing. Uomo Sport was born out of my obsession for the game of tennis, and out of necessity. With a renewed personal quest for quality tennis wear with timeless style, I created a luxury brand where fashion meets performance and performance meets fashion. A hybrid that honors the heritage that is the sport of tennis.”

“Teaming with Italian designers led the way to the ultimate, timeless tennis apparel with the greatest attention to details, with a selection of fabrics that meet the highest performance quality standards. The UOMO fit accentuates athleticism while honoring fitness and lifestyle. UOMO sets the new standard with such details as matte finish buttons, lightweight four-way stretch fabrics, sports mesh in all the right places for comfort and breathability, fine embroidery and microfiber pockets to dry sweat from the hands. We are here to carry on the tradition and elegance of tennis all over the world.” – Steven Siebert, Founder

While Jenson Brooksby is the most prominent Uomo Sport ambassador right now, Siebert has an additional roster of tennis figures on the Uomo Sport team… American tennis great Aaron Krickstein, current ATP players Brayden Schnur, Thomas Bellucci, Cedric Marcel-Stebe, Harry Bouchier, former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash, and coach Tommy Paul’s coach Brad Stine.
