99 percent of player autographs on court after wins are unreadable worthless scribbles. Time to end this waste of time silliness. Kids deserve more than a scribble but players deserve a rest after a hard fought win.
John McEnroe analyzed that the Djokovic vs Rinderknech match was being “played at a high level.” Thanks Johnny Mac! Tennis fans are generally not happy with McEnroe’s commentating this Wimbledon as the prime criticism is he’s out of touch with the modern game, not saying anything of interest or value, just the same basic rhetoric for every match.

Djokovic tied Federer for most Wimbledon match wins at 105 so the media dug up the fact that Navratilova won 120. Djokovic has won 75 more sets at Wimbledon than Navratilova. She would have to win 37 more matches spread over 5 years to match this amazing feat.
Djokovic has an idea to break the tie with Federer: “I propose a match up for me and Roger for 106. Whoever wins gets it. Let’s just stop it here. Let’s call Roger to come!” Djokovic beating Safiullin would be his 106th Wimbledon match win.
Wimbledon Clothing rules for players : 1) Competitors must be dressed in suitable tennis attire that is almost entirely white* and this applies from the point at which the player enters the court surround. 2) White does not include off white or cream. 3) There should be no solid mass or panel of colouring*. A single trim of colour around the neckline and around the cuff of the sleeves is acceptable but must be no wider than one centimetre (10mm). 4) Colour contained within patterns will be measured as if it is a solid mass of colour and should be within the one centimetre (10mm) guide. Logos formed by variations of material or patterns are not acceptable. 5) Shorts, skirts and tracksuit bottoms must be completely white except for a single trim of colour down the outside seam no wider than one centimetre (10mm). 6) Caps, headbands, bandanas, wristbands and socks must be completely white except for a single trim of colour no wider than one centimetre (10mm). 7) Shoes must be almost entirely white. Soles and laces must be completely white. Large manufacturers’ logos are not encouraged. The grass court shoes must adhere to the Grand Slam rules. In particular shoes with pimples around the outside of the toes shall not be permitted. The foxing around the toes must be smooth. 8) Any undergarments that either are or can be visible during play (including due to perspiration) must also be completely white except for a single trim of colour no wider than one centimetre (10mm), except female players who are allowed to wear solid, mid/dark-coloured undershorts provided they are no longer than their shorts or skirt. 9) Medical supports and equipment should be white if possible but may be coloured if absolutely necessary. A more relaxed dress code operates at the Aorangi Park practice courts. *Exception provided for female players who are allowed to wear solid, mid/dark-coloured undershorts provided they are no longer than their shorts or skirt.

Stormer, agree fully, he’s been mailing it in for a while now. Seems burnt out on tennis, seen and called too many matches, works for too many networks, overexposed. Need some fresh new voices in there. Maybe even an off the beaten path wildcard like Tennsy Sandgren or Todd Martin.

Nalbandian still wearing Yonex gear in Dimitrov’s box. I guess he has a lifetime sponsorship. The Yonex clothing is getting better but not promoted well.

Steve, I have three Yonex shirts but they don’t have good ventilation on hot days, something about the materials feels like it keeps the heat in. Otherwise on non hot days, it’s good to wear.

I’ve never understood the appeal of those two has-beens. Even back when I believed the myth about them being biological females, they struck me as self-centered, arrogant, entitled, whiny, unlikable, etc. If they were white, they would probably never have gotten away with that kind of behavior.
Wimbledon should be ashamed of themselves for granting these two fossils wild cards over players who would actually deserve them. So Serena and Venus both skipped their press conferences? Well, when do they get fined? Oh, wait—the tournament directors are too busy playing Sexism Police 👮🏻♂️ that they forget to enforce to enforce rules that every player is aware of. Thank goodness that Daniel Vallejo has never skipped any press conferences, or else he’d probably be on death row by now. ☠️
On a positive note, at least Serena got smoked by Joint 🚬, and the two Williams frauds got sent packing. 🥳

The post match interviews are all unnecessary and boring. We need a new innovation. Or just eliminate it. Let the players depart as we watch in awe of the war we just saw.

Fery referred to Federer as “probably the greatest of all time” in his post-match interview. You can tell Fed felt badly for Baby Fed. Fery’s story is amazing, up there with Vacherot playing his cousin in a final.
I think The Demon should totally rehab his serve. It’s just painful to watch hit get crushed. Justin Henin totally overhauled her serve motion and went on to become a great champion and Djokovic tweaked his heavily over the years. It’s locking him out of any slam hopes. He’s about the same size as Munar & Munar can serve 136 mph. Could be a good model to copy.

Fery came out of the woodwork. I never heard one expert ever talk about him before this Wimbledon. Dimitrov may be destined to always fall short. Zverev always seems to get the late shift. Federer alone in box late night was an odd image… does Zverev owe him money?🙂

I have a scoop…during Zverev’s practice this morning he was clutching his right wrist in pain. It was during the volley portion of his practice and his coach simply gestured him to massage it out.
I was liking his chances in that he can swing freely now having won a slam despite an abysmal h2h vs. Fritz but this surely comoplicates things.
