Funniest Players Encountered: “Oh…tough…the other Romanian Monica Niculescu. She’s really, really funny [smiles].”
Toughest Competitors: “None of them [laughs]. No.”
Favorite Players To Watch: “I like to watch, of course, Federer. Nadal. Djokovic. And I like to watch, as well, the girls. Now I’m watching more tennis than before. I liked to watch Safina a lot when she was playing.”
Embarrassing Tennis Memory: “Yeah, a lot of them. Hitting your doubles partner [laughs]. Or something like this. I have hit a lot of girls. So that’s really embarrassing to hit your partner.”
Favorite Tournament: “I like the Grand Slams.”
Which Match Did You Feel At Your Best: “I don’t think I ever played my best. Usually I never think I’m playing my best. (Hasn’t happened yet?) Yeah, I’m still waiting [smiles].”
Favorite Sport(s) Outside Tennis: “Any kind. I love soccer, I love handball, swimming, anything good. And I love watching top athletes in every kind of sport.”
Funny Tennis Memory: “I can’t think of one right now. I’m sure there are a lot but it’s not coming right now.”

I watched her win the first set today 7-6 and then left for Gulbis. Later in the day someone told me she fell apart and got killed the next two.
