Roger Federer opted to take a morning hit before his final today with John Isner against 17 year old American Zane Khan. Federer focused on baseline hitting, serving and returns, instructing Khan to serve to his backhand, forehand and body serves. Khan was positioned about four feet inside the baseline.

The two shook hands at net after the practice but did not share a conversation. They walked off separately and then at the corner of the court Federer did stop to take photos with Khan and other unspecified people.

Federer will play Isner for the Miami Open final. It’s their first meeting since Paris Indoors in 2015.
