The 2022 Elizabeth Moore Sarasota Open returns Aptil 8-17th after a two year hiatus with new ownership (Steve Gareleck and Rem Reynolds) and a new tournament director (Casey Brown) and a new location. The ATP Challenger will be contested in it’s fifth venue at Payne Park which is just a short walk from downtown Sarasota.
This year’s player entry list is impressive: Tennys Sandgren, JJ Wolf, Steve Johnson, Ryan Harrison, Denis Kudla, Francisco Cerandolo, Alex Bolt, Jordan Thompson, Jason Jung, Mitchell Krueger, Emilio Gomez, Jack Sock, Alejandro Tabilo, Andreas Seppi and Bjorn Fratangelo are all expected to compete.
Tickets are fairly priced and available at the tournament web site All seats will be covered from the sun.
I played at the high quality Har-Tru clay courts of Payne Park today and so far construction for the stadium courts has not yet begun. The location is conveniently located and very close to popular downtown Sarasota.
