Emma R has been awarded an MBE in the NY Honours. Some people are saying this is premature and why did Andy have to wait so long etc. I’m not bothered about honours myself but the MBE is the lowest possible award in its class – I imagine was given to Emma as a reward for her efforts and also to try to raise the profile of the women’s game in Britain. Not comparable to a knighthood/damehood.

Too much too soon? She’s more famous than the queen of england now. Emmamania is going to exceed Beatlemania.
