Djokovic Believes Divine Intervention Helping His AO23 Conquest

Facing Djokovic

By Scoop Malinowski

“The Lord works in mysterious ways.” At the Australian Open this week Novak Djokovic was asked by tennis reporter Ana Mitric about his on-court interactions with somebody or something in the skies above…

Djokovic answered: “Well, that’s something nevertheless of a personal nature, so I’d keep it to myself. But, yes, it’s both prayer and gratitude. And the truth is sometimes it’s more than that. I mean a conversation of some kind – especially in situations like today (vs. Grigor Dimitrov) when I really feel like I had God’s help and presence to overcome health and physical challenges and of course the challenges from the opponent’s side. Since I have more of such on-court problems than usual right now, I make sure I’m aware of God’s intervention in the whole story.”

Novak Djokovic defeated Grigor Dimitrov in three sets in the round of 32 and will next play Australian Alex deMinaur in the round of 16.

Incredible revelations by Novak Djokovic. Don’t expect the anti-God tennis media to embrace and accept his faith.

Interesting. Do tennis reporters normally ask questions that are this personal? 🤔

Scoop- religious belief is indeed a very personal thing. You haven’t any evidence that the ‘media’ is ‘Anti-God’ and there’s no reason anyone but Djokovic himself should embrace and accept his own personal faith.

Many players are clearly believers because they wear crucifixes. I haven’t heard or read anyone in the media even mention this.

Sam, this was by a Serbian reporter and he answered in Serbian. English speaking media are not too concerned with spiritual interests.

Catherine there is a video of legendary news anchor walter cronkite saying ““Join me, I am glad to sit on the right hand of Satan.” So I believe the media controllers have satanic leanings. Look at how the media destroyed the NFL career of Tim Tebow because of his Christian religious beliefs. Look at how the media has crucified and canceled Margaret Court because of her religious beliefs. And you’re going to try to tell me the media is not anti God. Nice try.

I don’t know about the United States, where some strange things go on, but I can assure you that anyone in the UK accusing ‘main stream media’ of embracing satanism would simply be laughed at. Unless it’s another name for the Tory Party. Could be.

Your link doesn’t work. Perhaps Satan intervened.

Catherine I was shocked to see a video of Walter Cronkite saying he stands with satan but it happened and it’s on video. People would have been shocked to know there is an epstein island where all the elites in the world went to rape children and do satanic sacrifices and were blackmailed (the evidence is now being covered up). But it’s now known to be a grim reality. Naivete, ignorance and brainwashing have had a profound effect on mass media mind control of the public. Regardless it’s very powerful for Djokovic to talking about the power of God and Divine Intervention and clearly the public are embracing Djokovic and that’s a positive sign.

    Scoop,

The thing about God… It’s quite usual among Serbs to use such an expression, and that’s precisely what it is: just an expression, a way of saying, just like “if God wants it”, “God help”, “with the help of God”, etc. It does not have any special religious meaning.

  • Scoop Malinowski · January 23, 2023 at 4:00 pm

Mat4, I truly believe God is showing his infinite power through Djokovic. I don’t think it’s a “coincidence” at all that many of his worst critics from a year ago are enduring difficulties now.

Okay, thanks, Scoop. Glad that at least the Serbian media don’t seem to be against him.

And if he realizes that he could use some extra help with everything he’s dealing with, that’s certainly to be commended. 👍

@Scoop I would say its Universe balancing itself, not a Devine intervention, like karma etc😁

  • Scoop Malinowski · January 24, 2023 at 9:08 am

Steve, can you prove it? )

  • catherine · January 24, 2023 at 9:24 am

Yes, maybe but why Djokovic ?

Back down to earth I sniggered a little at Pegulas’ reality check from the racquet of close friend (yes, really) Azarenka.

Jessica (‘I can beat anyone’) lost big:

“I don’t know what to do. The ball’s not going anywhere,” she complained to her box.

  • Scoop Malinowski · January 24, 2023 at 9:35 am

Because through Djokovic he can reach the most? Pegula made the big mistake with that cocky talk in the first week. I saw Azarenka beat Kenin 1R and was struck by how good she looked and her “terminator” focus mode. I even picked her as one of my favorites to win the title based on how she looked beating Kenin. Long way to go for Azarenka but she has a good chance now. Rybakina also looks unstoppable.

Chance for ATP players to collect more silverware and for the lower ranked in singles to get match practice:

Wimbledon will shorten men’s doubles matches from best-of-five sets to best of three from this year’s championships, the All England Club announced on Wednesday.

The traditional five-set format had been criticised in the past for discouraging more singles specialists from entering the doubles.

Wimbledon was the only grand slam tournament to stage five-set doubles matches, but will now move into line with the Australian Open, French Open and US Open.

“The decision was made following a wide-ranging consultation and the change brings Wimbledon into line with the other grand slams which stage the gentlemen’s doubles in a best-of-three format,” the AELTC said in a statement.

“This update will provide the referee’s office with greater certainty when scheduling matches during the event and we hope it will encourage even more players to enter doubles at Wimbledon as a result.”

All other formats at Wimbledon will remain the same.

  • Scoop Malinowski · January 25, 2023 at 6:04 pm

Minor alteration Catherine but sensible. Hope they don’t ever cut singles though.

  • catherine · January 26, 2023 at 11:33 am

Scoop -I doubt there’ll be changes in the singles. The only way that could go would be to increase women’s matches from 3 to 5. I’ve no objection to that in theory for finals (WTA used to do it) but understand how such a change would unbalance the tournament.

At AO when the dust settled it’s Saba and Ryba for the final. Is it a new era in women’s tennis or a flash in the pan?

  • catherine · January 26, 2023 at 11:38 am

Correct:’way’ that could go. It would also be unfair which is presumably why the WTA dropped the practice.

  • Scoop Malinowski · January 26, 2023 at 1:56 pm

Catherine, it’s hard to predict which way the WTA will go. Barty retired out of the blue. Bartoli retired out of the blue. Bouchard and Bibi lost their mojo out of the blue. Hsieh has vanished from the tour for 14 months at age 37 without a word why. Rybakina looks like she can dominate the tour and dethrone Iga. But does the establishment want a Russian like Rybakina dominating the sport? Or will she be removed by any means necessary and replaced by Coco? I doubt the establishment wants Sabalenka as the face of the WTA. But if she wins this final she could become a dominant powerhouse. Let’s just hope the establishment and big sponsors let the cards fall where they may and not interfere in any way.
